Michael Moore likens Taliban to Capitol rioters

The filmmaker was responding to news from Afghanistan

‘No one saw this coming,’ says Dominic Raab on swift Taliban takeover of Afghanistan
Michael Moore has courted controversy in a new social media post.
Posting on Twitter, the Bowling for Columbine filmmaker shared a picture of those involved with the Capitol Riots alongside a photo of the Talibanin Afghanistan.
Moore captioned the post: “Their Taliban, our Taliban, everybody’s got a Taliban. They’re at their best when they confiscate the halls of power.”
Earlier in the week, Moore responded to the news that Afghanistan had been taken over by the Taliban in a series of tweets.
In one of the posts, which you can see in full below, he wrote: “We sacrificed over 2,300 American lives to invade a country where Bin Laden was never, nowhere, to be found.” He also called the war “disgustingly sad”.
Earlier this year, Moore said that former US President Donald Trump should “pay for his actions” with “trial, conviction, imprisonment” as his presidency came to an end.
Moore is a left-wing documentarian. He is known for his films criticising topics such as globalisation, large corporations, assault weapon ownership, Bill Clinton, George W Bush, Donald Trump, the Iraq War, the American health care system and capitalism.

Let's assume they are. They're not, but assuming they are, how's that bluster about puny ARs not being able to do anything against tanks and F-15s looking now?
"ack ack ackshually, they were using AKs, which aren't legal in America because, you, like, can't own machineguns...... so, my point still stands" - Some Enlightened Liberal Named "Karen" Who is Much Better Than You!

I'm not sure how comparing the 1/6 jaywalkers to a group of winners is supposed to be an insult.
Well, you see, one is a group of rabble that took out their long-simmering frustrations on a corrupt US-backed puppet regime, making all of the politicians sweat and look stupid while they hurriedly pump in troops after the fact to look like they've accomplished something, and the other is in Afghanistan.

Michael Moore is a titanic faggot & nobody likes him.
He had a few decent points to make back in the day, Bowling for Columbine criticizes media fear mongering and he was right to slam Dubya and the War on Terror with Fahrenheit 9/11.

But he's also frequently been full of shit at the same time, I remember reading an exert from his book "Dude Where's My Country?" where he goes on and on about how miserable life in America circa the year 2000 is, oh yeah, things were so bad back then, that's not the most absurdly dated attitude imaginable from the vantage point of 2021.

And Bowling for Columbine, while making a few good points about the media, it also at the end of the day pro-banning guns as well as having a pretty disgusting "a brief history of the US" cartoon segment that is proto-Woke white bashing, as well ripping off South Park's style which pissed off Matt and Trey and led to Moore's lampooning in Team America, from what I remember there's also some weird veers into "cops are racist" territory in the movie, despite the main subject matter having nothing to do with that.

Anyway, he's a colossal (literally) faggot today though.

Moore is and always has been nothing more than a vile Goebbels-esque propagandist, this is just him doing what he does.
True, but like I said, Bowling for Columbine's criticism of media fear mongering is incredibly refreshing today and it sure is ironic that the left doesn't see the connection between the media wanting you think every teenager that wore black or played DOOM was a potential school shooter then and wanting you think the capital riot was worse than 9/11 and the civil war combined or everyone in a MAGA hat is a neo nazi just itching to lynch the nearest black or gay today.

Fuck it. At this point, I would just run with it.

January 6th was worse than the Haiti earthquake, Pulse Nightclub, Sandy Hook, the Indian Ocean tsunami, Katrina, 9/11, Columbine, Oklahoma City, the Vietnam War, the Cultural Revolution, the Great Chinese Famine, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Pearl Harbor, the Holocaust, the Tunguska blast, the Great Chicago Fire, the Civil War, the War of 1812, the Transatlantic Slave Trade, the Black Plague, Aztec ritual sacrifices, the Crusades, Genghis Khan, the Sacking of Rome, the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, the Crucifixion of Jesus, the Trojan War, the Smiting of Sodom and Gomorrah, the Exile of Adam and Eve, the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs, and the Big Bang...combined.

Michael Moore shitting out of his mouth again? What a shock

The last time he had any relevance as a filmmaker was still during the Bush administration, Sicko was the last one of his docummentaries anyone gave a shit about and that was almost 20 years ago. In a sea of useless commie propagandists he stands out by being the fattest one, congratulations.

He tries to go for some 'guns aren't inherently bad but Americans with guns are' point and tries to compare Canada having 'almost as much' guns (something that's also aged poorly these days) but not having anywhere near the violent gun crime rate that America does. Because his ideological blinkers prevent him from drawing the obvious conclusion there he instead has to launch into some tangent on racism.
