That’s pretty much my thoughts of it. That or they have something to lose. And again, they may be waiting for the other side to start it.

I still believe that the most it’ll become is The Troubles.

Probably the Biden Administration vs well armed dissidents. lol, if the US enters serious uprisings it'll be the fall of yugoslavia, not the fucking IRA

America is, at this point, a nation that worships violence, once the veneer of law and civility falls apart, it won't be a civil war, it'll be a bloodbath. People won't be noble patriots fighting back evil agents of a tyrannical government (or crazed redneck murdering heroic soldiers, take your pick) they'll be killing their neighbor because they want his stuff. Law breaking down isn't pretty and once the floodgates open, the idea that violence will only be used for political war is laughable

Well….you’re not wrong. Societal collapse usually comes with war. Summer of 2020 looks to be a sneak preview. If anything, there’s the political shit, you also got gang land warfare, a prison riot, 1/6, the Antifa street brawls, and Kyle’s Night In Kenosha all in a blender to go with the American Troubles.

I knew the Taliban were cruel men, hardened by the arid and desolate steppes, but to think that they would execute men’s waifus with gunshots to the head at point-blank range. Madness. Madness has descended over the whole Earth.

The catalyst for this is obvouisly a complete market crash or hyperinflation

Most of Americans including myself have huge 401ks and retirement to look forward too. If that were to evaporate many would definately go apeshit. We almost saw this in 2008...it got damn close..

We thump our chests and brag about 401k's and home equity. If it were to go many would lose all sense of civility
