I'll defend Russia here, despite their moves in Chechnya and Crimea their army isn't as aimed towards offense or power projection as the U.S. or China. Heavy investment in Artillery and heavy guns, alongside doctrinal training, focused on holdout tactics has a strong gearing towards a highly -defensive- army. In a head-to-head battle, the U.S. wins, but that is only comparing offense to offense. Any defensive war has a lot of -strong- pros to the Russian army and I'd go so far as to say even with good leadership I'd give it a coin toss for America to win an offensive war against Russia.

You are quite right. Russia prefers to stay close to home. Power projection capability limited. Their one carrier must be accompanied by an ocean-going tug at all times. The Russian Army hasn't the numbers of the old Red Army, either.

The Russians would put up quite a defense, possibly trading space for time and I don't believe General Winter could be ruled out to help them. Their supply lines are all interior, where ours certainly wouldn't be. To be honest, just don't see an offensive war against Russia. In my opinion, we haven't the numbers needed without a massive mobilization, including the draft. And I simply cannot see why we'd attack those people.

Personally, my biggest concern remains Korea. Things are pretty quiet now, but from personal experience shit can happen REAL fast there, right out of the blue.

The deep state wanted a grand ceremony no alarms, no surprises withdrawal to cement Biden's legacy as the guy who ended the Afghanistan War and cement his place in history that way, to provide cover and shade for any bad shit that might happen on his watch. All culminating in a big celebration to permanently close the book on 9-11 and allow the Democrats to enshrine 1-6 as the new "worse day ever in American history" date of infamy in the public consciousness.

Instead it fucked up so fucking badly and with such speed and severity and optics, that it's basically created the mother of all openings for anyone EVERYONE to shit on Biden. More to the point, it's going to be the sort of nightmare scenario that will haunt the Democrats come 2022 that they can't do anything to stop at this point, being an albatross over their neck.

Hence TPTB now moving swiftly, since they can't change/manipulate the narrative due to Joe being sleepy and not giving them the needed time to prep the narrative, to move the refugees to red states. Utter desperation that the GOP might not only get the House, but also the Senate and a veto proof majority that would let them make Democrats lives living hell.

You have no idea how right you are, in fact, it's worse than I think most people realize. I've avoided commenting on it because I needed to see how it played out, but let me explain something I realized a couple of months back and is what got me started on my kick about Political Capital.

Pulling out on 9/11 would have been the mother of all Political Capital tsunamis. The sheer optics of it, on the twentieth anniversary, pulling out and saying its done, leaving a nominally 'stable' Afghanistan. Yah it'd fall in a few months, but that is soo far away it COULD be successfully memory-holed. The sheer -amount- of Capital it would generate would be huge, more so than even a successful election. Enough to pass any bills the administration wanted.






And so they borrowed against it.

Relying on that capital to come, they pushed for lockdowns, vaccine mandates, set up what they needed for election reform, pressed for filibuster reform, floated the idea of stacking the court. Even as crises began to mount they borrowed more from it, trusting it'd come so they delayed action on Immigration, Inflation, the New Housing Crisis.

This is why Biden's handlers were daring SCOTUS. They know it will fail, but one month was all they needed. One month, and everything could be solved. One. Month. and the paycheck would be in.

We are officially through the looking glass, people.

Why does this man remind me of Lurch? Or a ghoul.

To provide some background and maybe nudge that belief, consider the following:

1: We have seen for a while Biden and Kamala avoiding each other. Remember the photo of her glowering at the 'bipartisan' infrastructure meetup? How Kamala has avoided going anywhere she is told? so;
2: Kamala is -deeply discontent- with what she is doing. The reasons why can be debated, I have proposed my own theory, but its hard to argue she isn't hating things right now. The proof?
3: We have now three separate confirmations from three separate people with known insiders that Kamala specifically is angry.

Now, draw this out, widen the circle.

4: This is a colossal fuckup, easily in the running for one of if not the biggest fuckup.
5: From Congress to the Glowies, to basically everything else there are quick disavowals. Even the media has become schizophrenic on this.
6: This is on top of a series of crises that have seen just continued damage.
7: Audits are still happening, the moratorium thing is still happening. That's two -major- crises right there.

Right, the scene and major player is set. But we only have one side to this. You need two in a war. So consider;

8: Jill Biden , the Woman Behind The Man for Biden. Now sidelined by a cabal, outright loaths Kamala.
9: Joe Biden keeps going to bed early, always citing... Jill Biden.
10: Joe is now brought out of one early, no way Jill allowed this. His appearance last was bad, slurring and barely coherent even with a teleprompter. The last time we saw him before then he was wandering around... lost.


So, you have the pieces. Where do your conclusions lead you?

I'm terrible at these kinds of things but I figure someone was trying to run Biden ragged. Him being in Delaware for medical treatment and Camp David for a vacation probably means a "black swan" health event. (After a certain point medical doctors can only try to "balance" his treatments because of side effects, organs failing, etc.)

So Taliban sweeps aside all opposition and suddenly no one in the administration can step up to the plate to talk to the press. Psaki declared a vacation. Harris was focussed on Haiti.

So Biden gets methed up, straining his ailing body even more, delivers a speech that sounds like he's got cotton balls in his mouth and is whisked away back to his vacation. Now he is being dragged back once again.
