Every media form seems to be doing this; almost every political or COVID-related article comes with its own "This has been fact checked" blurb if it's been approved to be part of the narrative. As I mentioned someplace else, this smacks of censorship.

The news I heard changed without rhyme or reason. First, I heard that pregnant woman should avoid it. Then, pregnant women were being told to get vaccinated. Now, it seems to be the case pregnant women are being told vaccines are harmless and necessary.

I wouldn't want Gilchrist taking over for Whitmer. He's very big into SocJus and behind the declaration that racism is a health crisis in Michigan, if I recall. As much as I'd like to see the Republicans field a candidate capable of defeating Whitmer when she's up for reelection, recalling her now won't improve things.

Again, I wonder if anyone even cares about those who can't take a vaccine for legitimate medical reasons. Even if this could be enforced on Federal property, it would get plenty of pushback if not legal challenges.

Gov Inslee just reinstated the mask mandate in WA statewide. It'll be interesting to see how the east side responds, because no one there gives a fuck about masks or vaccines.

I just watched that movie the other day, there's the scene where they go to a fancy restaurant which is just Pizza Hut, because by then all independent restaurants had been driven out of business and in the following phase Pizza Hut won the franchise war. It wasn't because of pandemic lockdowns, though, the film isn't that prescient.

In American releases, all restaurants were Taco Bell, I heard they used Pizza Hut for overseas releases.

There was a video from Australia of cops straight up breaking into someone’s home for having an illegal guest. The residents and guest appear to be of middle eastern decent. This was about a week ago, to my best recollection. Australia is so fucked.

Edit to add: logic dictates that the cops were probably called BY SOME NEIGHBORS REPORTING ON THIS ILLEGAL ACT.

its been only 18 months, not 18 years. the only reason they weren't doing this in 18 weeks was because Donnie wouldn't put up with it. how much faster do you want it to go? even Dystopia movies are usually set decades ahead, not just one Wow expansion later.

Not yet, but I suspect it may be coming soon and communicated as poorly as possible so that people unaware of the requirement are surprised when told they can't be allowed in without proof.

I wish I had paid more attention to the commercial, but I heard one on the radio where whomever speaking made the point that we're all entitled to our opinion but ended with an imperative to get vaccinated. That simply reinforced the current-year idea that we're entitled to our opinions so long as it's the same one.

I've also heard through the Grapevine that people from various countries and continents are coming to Mexico first and then entering the US illegally under the guise of asylum-seekers with the help of various NGOs and "charities." If I recall, Delta was quite prevalent in India, so it would make sense if people from India that are choosing this route to enter the US are bringing Delta with them when they're being welcomed in the US with open arms while legitimate travel is still being curtailed. Naturally, the media and presidential administration won't comment about this, so it's hard to confirm. However, it wouldn't surprise me, either, if this is happening while those in power turn a blind eye and deny it's happening.
