Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Bruh it's too fucking convenient that these guys just so happened to wait until there was nobody around that was "important" to be hurt. If it were truly a pissed off vet with an axe to grind, he would've had the training to know, I would think - correct me if I'm wrong, that planning ahead for such an attack is vital.

People don't think rationally when they're angry. I'm not saying we aren't gonna see them use this against us either way, but it's entirely possible that he just doesn't know Biden has already left. Though he apparently wants to speak to Biden so he might be intending to try to force Biden to come back.

Meh it's probably just a crazy guy. And otherwise a minor event for the evening news and not of any significance to anyone outside that truck cab.

It will of course be blown out of proportion and used as a distraction by the mainstream media and as a way to vilify and divide people. Maybe. Depends how loyal they still are to Biden and what people want to hear about. I think people want to hear about something new... like the giant clusterfuck in Afghanistan that is ongoing.

Nah bro I'm not about to believe someone who's apparently so obsessively angry at Biden wouldn't be following his movements closely enough to know that he's nowhere near D.C. That doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.

Being angry/crazy may perhaps lead people to make irrational decisions; it does not make them stupid.

Or it's a glow-op that's too on-the-nose. I'm not giving an iota of credence otherwise unless he actually blows himself up. There's no reason I can think of that this wouldn't have gone down immediately after the Kabul shit, rather than after a wet fart of a presser that only managed to further piss people off.
Edit: FWIW it could come out tomorrow that he was a Bernie Bro, voted Biden, was a lifelong Democrat, whatever. I'd still call it a fucking glow-op, and I'm almost always the type of guy to say that incidents like these are just nutjobs. This is just too fucking perfect for what happened over the last week.

Our Feds have basically adopted the Pakistani model of capturing terrorists before they had some military school in Peshawar get rekt hard.

IIRC I believe it was VICE showing them hanging around with the Pakistani police and they were looking for terrorists in some big city and found a "terrorist", some old fuck with no like signs of being dressed or looking like your average jihadi. And dude is smiling and stuff and they take him in with no resistance and put him in the police van. And the police guy tells the journalists that they captured a terrorist.

I think it'll be more like she won't be allowed to do anything. She completely and embarrassingly collapsed during the Presidential Primaries, and transparently isn't there because she's such an incredible political navigator. She's not going to come into the role with the same goodwill and political capital that Biden had, and I can't see the Democrats coalescing behind somebody as unpopular as her, unless it's in a half-assed "vote blue no matter who" sort of way.
