You would think a guy like lewis would be on comcisgate side since he clearly understands what its like to enjoy a series based on its specific style and ambiance, having a certain life of its own, as it were, then have someone come in and take a dump on everything you loved about it.

The issue is the people he hangs out with it are the opposite of that. If he in anyway identified with Comicsgate, the ex-CA members might call him an alt-righter and not want to talk with him anymore like what happened with Iron Liz.

I'm a long time Trek Fan almost my whole life and I've seen all Trek and the Kurtzman Stuff is bad. But out of all the Kurtzman Trek out there Lower Decks is the least offensive given it's such a parody you can write it off and just have fun with it. Hell the other Animated Show Prodigy doesn't even look bad.

Honestly I don't get geek/nerd outrage. I have 13 Trek films (Yeah I liked the JJ films for the most part), 5 Live action series TOS, TNG, DS9, VOY, & ENT and one animated series TAS. So yeah I don't care about Kurtzman Trek it sucks but I'll just not watch it and watch the wealth of content that came before it and be happy.

Its probably more because that style of singing just involves holding the same note and singing at a fairly slow pace. Because its so kind of flat like that lots of people think they can do it. There's also probably something to do with the idea of them being these cool sophisticated guys.
