Diseased Neo-Pagans / Witches on the Internet / Witchblr - SMT IRL, but with fatties

At this point the Taliban hexing sub has devolved into people making fun of these brainlets but there are a few gems there.

I think you'll find this one funny @Marshal Mannerheim

Medusa was raped by Poseidon in Athena's temple. This is gross on many levels.
It's a little thing but I love when the Greek God 'worshippers' get things wrong that you could have just googled. Like the one before Hermes says they're Cupid when that's the Roman name and Eros would be the correct Greek name. Also, them all picking Medusa as the most drunk is just really in poor taste given her origins. Again something that would have taken very little effort to look up.

I saw something the other day that took the dates given in the story of Atlantis, added in the fact it was apparently told to him by his grandfather, and then subtracted the 9,000 years mentioned in the story. The date works out to be very close to the estimated time of the Younger Dryas Impact.
I could go on, but what I'm getting at here is that the "flood myth" might just be multiple regions affected by a single disaster and each individual flood myth is seperate but describing the same event.
If so, it explains the differences in the moral stories we find. It's not a root myth being retold, it's different regions attempting to explain the implications of a disaster.
Pretty much, the theory that I tend to prefer is the sea rise from increasing heat overcame the coast and flooded the Black Sea and the Red Sea (at different points) plains creating them. There's multiple towns/cities that have been found under those that seem to back the idea up.

The Akkadian version is still the best.

The land shattered like a pot.
All day long the South Wind blew,
blowing fast, submerging the mountain in water,
overwhelming the people like an attack.
No one could see his fellow,
they could not recognize each other in the torrent.
The gods were frightened by the Flood,
and retreated, ascending to the heaven of Anu.
The gods were cowering like dogs, crouching by the outer wall.
Ishtar shrieked like a woman in childbirth,
the sweet-voiced Mistress of the Gods [Ninhursag] wailed:
'The olden days have alas turned to clay,
because I said evil things in the Assembly of the Gods!
How could I say evil things in the Assembly of the Gods,
ordering a catastrophe to destroy my people!!
No sooner have I given birth to my dear people
than they fill the sea like so many fish!'
The gods--those of the Anunnaki--were weeping with her,
the gods humbly sat weeping, sobbing with grief,
their lips burning, parched with thirst.

The Akkadian version is still the best.
I wish we had a metal rating.

Could be both. The impact would have been a single giant disaster, but warming would also explain the cities.

I wanna do the sign of the cross in front of one of these wiccans and see how they react. If they're shitting their pants from astral projecting against the taliban, I really wanna see what happens
I think Hammer Studios have explored that question

No, Uranus is a part of it. That, Neptune, and Pluto are debated as to whether they count in astrology due to how recently they were discovered.
Reasonably it means that every other planetoid is astrologically meaningful so you have to memorize every possible orbit to know anything. They're not going there, it's all based on choosing between the memes of the 1900s or 1300s.

There is actually this aspect to astrology involving the meanings involving any asteroids known to mankind. Here are some examples from Lindaland:

And, yes, starseeds are involved in astrology too.

A tumblr witch on Actaeon...

Horror of horrors, a man peeped on a woman. Him being torn apart by his own hunting hounds after being turned into a stag deer is a fitting punishment.

I'm not advocating we spy on people in the bath, but come on, it's not the worst thing in the world. Zeus does three worse things before breakfast each morning.

In the Roman version, it was explicitly an accident. Actaeon isn't punished for being a (creepy) male who peeps on women bathing (like a psycho), he's punished for transgressing upon the domain of the gods.
