Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

The dominant religion in Persia before the Islamic Conquest (Zoroastrianism) had a view of dogs similar to that of how ancient Egyptians viewed cats. Not quite deities, but something almost like agents of the deity. The Zoroastrians literally considered a house to not be a home without a dog in it. In any event, they revered dogs.

The Islamic disdain of dogs might be nothing more than a backlash over this, since Persia was their first real conquest outside the Saudi peninsula.
Dogs have always had associations with unclean things because they roll in filth and happily eat corpses. Religions with taboos about cleanliness can have mixed feelings about them.

Could you elaborate on why? I am confused because I know there are several breeds that originated in the Middle East (like the Afghan hound).
Muhammad liked cats more is probably part of it.

This is because the Prophet (PBUH) told us the following:
"He who keeps a dog other than that meant for watching the herd or for hunting loses every day out of his deeds equal to two qirat." [Muslim 1574a]
We do not need a deeper reasoning than that, because it says in the Qur'an:
"The only statement of the [true] believers when they are called to Allah and His Messenger to judge between them is that they say, "We hear and we obey." And those are the successful." [Qur'an 24:51]

There's nothing wrong with having dogs as other than pets, such as guide dogs, or a hunting dog as the Prophet (PBUH) said, so people may have bred various dogs for various tasks. It's also worth pointing out that not everyone in the Middle East is a good Muslim, so some may well keep dogs even if they know they shouldn't be, or they may not be Muslim in the first place.

Hopefully Matthew Hopkins can talk to them, perhaps employing such scientific methods as dunking.

Globohomo (((biometrics))) could be used by the Chadiban to hunt down those who worked with the USA :story:.

"We would go into villages and enrol people into this biometric data system," US Marine Special Operations Command veteran Peter Kiernan recalls.

"You had a device about 12 inches by six inches wide. It would scan their fingerprints, it would scan their retina, it would also take a picture of them."

It's been a busy week for Mr Kiernan. In Afghanistan, he was in charge of 12 local interpreters. Some are still in the country when we speak, and he's trying to help them leave.

For those who worked with US forces, leaving is a matter of urgency.

A United Nations document recently seen by the BBC says the Taliban are intensifying their hunt for people who worked for, and collaborated with, Nato and US forces.

And the giant stores of biometric data collected by both the US military and the Afghan government could, some argue, pose a risk to those facing reprisals.

Brian Dooley, a senior adviser to activist group Human Rights First, told the BBC's Tech Tent podcast that while very little was definitively known, "a very educated guess would say that [the Taliban] either has or is about to get their hands on an enormous amount of biometric data".
I literally cannot stop laughing. Don't call it a grave, THIS IS THE FUTURE YOU CHOSE.

I think that's pigs and pork products
Muhammad hated dogs. That's why I loved raids with military K-9s.

Once Gabriel promised the Prophet (that he would visit him, but Gabriel did not come) and later on he said, “We, angels, do not enter a house which contains a picture or a dog.” (Sahih Bukhari 4.54.50)

Abdullah (b. Umar) (Allah be pleased with them) reported: Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) ordered the killing of dogs and we would send (men) in Medina and its corners and we did not spare any dog that we did not kill, so much so that we killed the dog that accompanied the wet she-camel belonging to the people of the desert. (Sahih Muslim 3811)

Ibn Mughaffal reported: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) ordered killing of the dogs, and then said: “What about them, i. e. about other dogs?” and then granted concession (to keep) the dog for hunting and the dog for (the security) of the herd, and said: “When the dog licks the utensil, wash it seven times, and rub it with earth the eighth time.” (Sahih Muslim 551)

If he's killed its the primary fault of ANA and the (former) Afghan government who handed the country over to a military force that was 1/10th there size and probably had 1/1000th their budget.
The chaos currently enveloping Afghanistan is absolutely the fault of the Afghan National Army and it's government, although let's not pretend that successive US administrations don't share a lot of the blame for failing to recognize what would inevitably happen once the US military left the country.

It was completely delusional for the US top brass to think that ordinary Afghans recruited from poverty were going to meaningfully take up arms against their own countryman for a government that almost entirely owes it's creation to a highly distrusted and culturally alien foreign occupier; especially when corruption at every level of the government was preventing these people from even getting their paycheck.

Everyone with anything more than a cursory understanding of the region knew what was going to happen once the US withdrew. The only thing that stopped the American leadership from reaching this understanding was their own hubris.
According to the sharia sihr (witchcraft) is punishable by death. I think a few Muslim majority countries still enforce it thank God
Is this you trying to say that you believe in witchcraft and think it's practitioners should be put to death?
