Ventilators are almost a death sentence for people of a certain age/weight and more often than not older adults don’t get off them alive. Even younger healthier people have to do speech language therapy because their vocal cords are fried after lengthy intubation.
doctors know this; a doctor friend told me this. It makes it all the more nefarious when they could be trying alternatives first.

I think her lungs were so inflamed at that point they had no other option. She waited till the last minute to go to the urgent care of all things, not even the hospital. The doctor even asked me why wasn't she here days ago. She grew up poor and like my mother married a well to do man but never learned the lifestyle of it. It took my mother forever to go to a doctor for a routine checkup. Growing up if they ever went to a doctor it was for bad news.

But thankfully my mom understood the importance of this and her overall health some time ago. The rest of her family...not so much. I really hope it was a wakeup call for them. Even if it's just for general, everyday bad health practices.

The vaccine might make you slightly less transmissible and for somewhat less long, but not to the degree I was expecting at all. If the vaccine prevents infection you obviously can't transmit, but that only lasts a few months in most cases. Getting owned by the CDC, pretty embarrassing.

They've already figured this out with Pfizer (which is the only one that teens can get in the US at the moment). All they did was slap a warning label on it, but still recommended kids get it. I'm certain they'll do the same thing with Moderna. They just have to tell you about it because then you can't claim you didn't know the risks.

for now only the authenticity of the certificate gets checked online, but a software update or "bug" can easily change that because no one reads update notes and TOS changes anyway.

It isn't supposed to help restaurants. It's supposed to help McDonalds and Amazon, and other megacorps like that. They can afford to deal with these measures and stay in operation. This is just a giant squeeze on small businesses, while the megacorps stay fine.

If it's the ER they can't deny anyone treatment outright (big part of why ER costs are absurd - a whole lot of people go exclusively to the ER for their healthcare because they can't be denied for being poor and whatnot). They're legally required to stabalize you.

The rest of the hospital though, they could. Some doctors offices are already refusing to see any unvaccinated patients (which sucks to be the people who have legitimate medical reasons for being unvaccinated).

The government won't have to mandate shit in the end, the private sector will effectively pull that off for them if for no other reason than requiring employees and customers be vaxxed removes a lawsuit liability.

Ventilators are for people who can't physically open their lungs for whatever reason, but that isn't the problem with rona infections. The muscular part is fine; it's getting oxygen across the inflamed tissue and into the bloodstream that's the problem. An intubation does exactly jack and shit for that.

If my sister-in-law is anything to go off, a cpap and a humongous dose of anti-inflammatory steroids is the indicated treatment for advanced lung inflammation.

The left who spend all their time whining about wealth inequality and how capitalism is a broken system have been complicit in the most effective transfer of wealth from the middle class to the top 1% in history. Thousands of small business owners ruined because of the lockdowns while billions of dollars of sales are funneled through Amazon. The left has effectively killed off the small business owners, the little guys they claim to champion while gifting the Megacorps some of their biggest profits in history. It's repulsive.
