Being handed questions in advance would not surprise me at all (happened with HRC during the debates), but that's not what the clip sounded like. It sounded like he was trying to narrow a broader question to a more specific one. He's probably trying to dodge the question, but this clip probably isn't showing what people think it's showing.

The idea there was anything to gain in Afghanistan for any length of time was folly. There wasn't.
It is hard to accept that we spent that much money and lost that may lives for almost (but not quite) nothing.
Every President since and including Bush has said we were leaving but didn't have the guts. Biden may pay for it dearly politically here at home and abroad, but is there anyone on this forum who could send their own kid over there are seriously tell them they are risking their lives for some great cause?
If we were to stay for another year, for what purpose would it serve?

I think I mentioned yesterday that the Doha evacuation site was already out of cots and room and it began to have knock-on effects in Afghanistan, Qatar is also nervous with the amount of people we project to evacuate and are putting a tight leash on this entire thing.
