Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I'd be surprised if some glowie didn't reach into their secret bag of tricks and gave him some undetectable poison that gives him a swift and massive aneurysm before Labor Day to save us the trouble.

To be fair dealing with Germanic anything has a tendency to cause ungodly rage in people. I can't imagine Germanic ambassadors being any better than a mechanic dealing with German engineering.

So, let's summarize.

1: Afghanistan is the biggest fucking since Saigon, and might actually eclipse it in terms of sheer bad optics and political damage.
2: The insurrection thing is DOA with the FBI announcement (also, very nicely done whoever decided to get revenge on the Admin. FBI guys who read these, please thank the guy who decided that for me).
3: Covid fell. At 53.9% approval, it's officially within a standard deviation. And that's with Push Polling. I guarantee the excess personal polling is less sunshine and roses.

Don't forget the RNC report supporting claims of election fraud. I always believe the trump curse was real but now I think it might be sentient.

If I were Newsom, I'd be begging her to stay far, far away from California. Though I have a pet theory forming.

If the absolute failure of a press conference was Biden's last test, I think California is Kamala's. Place her there, and see if there is any benefit, at all, to her existence. I think they might be gauging which of the two is the least terrible option.

The Biden administration was THE MOST WOKE administration EVER! This last 7 months have been a test of the entire concept of CRT. As much as I hate to see what is going on in Afghanistan right now (want to leave, but not in a shit show like this)... their CRT "win" is now a gasping, flopping, fish on the rocks.

I unironically believe that some group in the current administration is researching deep fake technology to allow someone else to act as Joe Biden in real time and that they're doing this under the guise of an emergency crisis where they need to keep the public calm. And I also unironically believe that if Biden makes it past the mid-terms they'll do a live test of this with journalist on an interview online.

If we see Biden do an interview that lasts longer than 20 minutes and he's not physically present with the interviewer, they've got it working!

Seeing pictures of Kamala out of California from yesterday and I feel like my pet theory has some weight.. Suddenly she is all smiles and 'charm', but experience tells me that the emotions behind it are entirely hollow. It's a show, and I am not sure it's aimed at the voters so much as the admin handlers.

I agree with your theory, because I don't think Kamala wants Pres, i think she wants a cushy job.

Her dropping from VP and running caliph-ornia, Biden dropping out of the Pres role, Election fraud discovered, every man and his dog happy that Trump is back.

Didn't something similar happen with Napoleon? Except Kamala is not tallyrand
