Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

That is admittedly a tall order but what is the military for if not tall orders during a crisis situation? Don't say "We can't."

Trump basically said in his speech that if we aren't willing to go back in guns blazing, then we won't see the thousands left behind alive again. This is a clear example of something he would see as a necessary military mission, something with a clear goal and a get-in, get-out timeline.

You have to think Trump did that to try to put pressure on Biden to at least try to get the US citizens out of there.

I Want To Believe and all, but I am pretty sure there's only a 50/50 shot of him running.

He will spend the next 2 years trying to be a kingmaker in state elections, all the while coyly implying he will run. It will be "be will he or won't he? up until a couple months before the GOP convention, maybe up to the convention. There is a very strong chance he will get everyone to assume he is running, then at the last minute throw his support behind a MAGA candidate and act like that is just as good.

He is running, he basically said the only reason he hasn't announced is because of campaign finance reform laws, but everyone asking the question will be happy.
