Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? For every screeching Twitterati who refuses to believe anything that is even remotely critical of the narrative (even when that narrative changes constantly and so visibly that they are literally the only ones who buy it), there's a hundred well-meaning people in the Dems that have the scales fall from their eyes. This shit takes time, and it takes a while for the ones that are more integrated with the system to come to terms with.

You don't have a week like the one the Bidens just had without tons of fallout, and while you will basically never win over the more intractable ones, it doesn't fucking matter. Focus on everyone else, the ones that do, and you'll be watching more and more support bleed away from them in a time when the Administration is bleeding political capital in a time when they already had none.

Back in July, a friend of mine who had blocked me pretty much everywhere for not condemning the Cheetofuhrer called me back to apologize, and we actually had a productive conversation for the first time in.... What, three years? Four and change? Give it time, and savor it as the Biden admin's complete incapacity to not fuck up runs its course.

It's good to keep in mind that your opposition isn't evil or willfully ignorant or deliberately misconstruing everything. While there are those who do, the majority will always be well-meaning people, who think their course in life is the best that can be done, and are working with the information they have.

These people have spent decades of their life with Left-Wing = Good, Right-Wing = Bad propaganda spouted at them. They have listened to the news, their friends, their shows lambast Orange Man when he came into power as a literal fascist. They watched as a pandemic appeared, things locked down, and riots burned. Scared, ignorant, and propagandized they act with what information they have to do what they think is best. And keep in mind, until recently... they didn't have much proving that wrong. The media sure wasn't telling them, their shows weren't, and as isolated as people are their friends weren't or they cut off their friends as the person I am responding to had.

But a fundamental fact easy to laugh at is that people are not in fact stupid. Unobservant, politically lazy, and often naive. But not stupid. They see that prices are increasing, can see that crisis after crisis is hitting this admin, see what's coming out of Kabul, and notice Biden is nowhere to be seen... they tune in when he speaks then, wanting reassurance and instead see a dottering old man. That plants seeds of doubt which blossom into hard questions. Questions rip apart the thin excuses. This won't turn someone overnight into a Republican, but it sure will make them think harder than they have about politics.

It makes the public Take Interest. Which is the last thing a puppet regime wants.

I find don't look at twitter lefties they are at a point where noting will change their views. But instead look at people in your life who you know are left leaning who have been questioning the current administration. Those are the ones who are waking up.

Apologies for my ignorance but it’s so bloody frustrating watching this my head can’t grasp it. This is the U.S. MILITARY we’re talking about, not the local Scout Troop or some ragtag ‘army’ from Albania or some other shithole. I can understand if, say, Finland was experiencing logistical problems but the USA? No way. Something is happening because this situation could have been resolved yesterday if they wanted to.

(In before you give me all the reasons why not, I’m just a civilian who sees people stuck in a warzone and doesn’t understand why the No. 1 military force in the world is failing to help their own citizens. How hard can it be?)

Vietnam seems to be the turning point. It's when we started to attempt to 'win hearts and minds' instead of winning wars. You can see that with Linebacker and Linerbacker 2 which drove the vietcong to the negotiation table. It was known early on if the US took out major dams in the north it'd cause a major food shortage and cripple the north but that was deemed unacceptable. Instead they spent a decade trying to make people like them while supporting a corrupt government which the populous largely disliked.

It does make me wonder how many woketards will now double down on their beliefs. Between Cuomo finally going down for being a sex pest, Biden disintegrating and possibly being smeared by their own side as a pedo too, and Milley being a useless fuckwit in general there has to be more than a few that will simply take it as a sign that all straight white men, even the 'good' ones are evil and need to die off faster.

That's how you save this situation, you get the rest of the 82nd in, and send them out armed to the teeth much like 2 Para has been doing. I doubt Trump would've allowed it to get to this situation as his deal included the "I will fuck you up if you don't honour the deal" caveat. Snatching an (albeit) bloody victory from an already snapped closed jaw of defeat.

Oddly enough, the Taliban has generally not fucked with the heavily armed british sallies to collect our own people beyond the odd attempted potshot. Mostly because they've played that dance with those specific units many times before. They've lost every time.

Just send in the USMC is the best case since I remember reading somewhere if it was in Iraq or Afghanistan, our enemies there would make sure to check before their ambushes if they were about to attack the army or the marines and if it was marines, they would not got for it.
