I think it would be suicidal to keep him on. Do they really want to both run a very important campaign and at the same time defend against obvious dementia accusations?
I really think they must get rid of him well before the end of the year. It has to be done early enough that the transition away from Biden will fall off the news and become "old history" before the campaigning starts in ernest.
But, most important is however what DOCTOR Jill wants. I can not see her being onboard with Joe stepping down at all.
So, tomorrow they are going to have a virtual g7 meeting because everyone is upset about, openly even, how Biden fucked up. Over / under that the Talebans will create a BIG issue just before that meeting so everyone will be shaken and want to demand answers from Joe?
EDIT: I think all eyes will be on Biden this meeting and all the other leaders will want answers. Now would be a really bad time to have a cornpop moment.
