We're kind of in the same boat with the flu. It's potentially deadly to a decent sized chunk of the population, so we reserve the vaccine for that chunk of the population when there's a scarcity, but in general, most people are encouraged to take it. I usually do, although I read up on that year's first. Sometimes, they totally bungle it and it isn't effective against the specific strain that turns out dominant that year, because they formulate it based on a prediction. In that case, I give it a miss since it's not much use.

If it becomes endemic, they might just fold it into some combination shot with both the flu and whatever variant of COVID is dominant that year.

It would be better to eradicate it entirely, but covidiots have turned that from unlikely to more or less impossible. So we're probably stuck with this shit forever.

i think what's really beautiful about these conspiracy theorists is that almost every single one of them that i've met are habitual drinkers, fast food consumers, and/or cig smokers. you know. the kind of shit that everyone agrees will trash your body from the inside out on a systemic level and are supported by industries who happily exploit the most vulnerable in order to get the most profit out of them. judging by the way these people fight tooth and nail over a vaccine and its manufacturers' legitimacy, you'd assume they'd be a little more health conscientious.

Conspiracy theorists are more into just being conspiracy theorists than being consistent. It gives them a weird, retarded, paranoid buzz to think they know shit that nobody else knows, when in fact they know shit.

The comparison was meant to highlight that for all intents and purposes, big cities are a petri dish of diseases and some - more extremely than others. What other city could highlight the extreme overcrowdedness better than Hong Kong? I could've gone for some of the Indian slums but that would've been cheating.

So an update on one of the people previously mentioned. One Fanos. He's being prosecuted (presumably) for vitiating anti-COVID restrictions with a protest held in his native Melbourne over the weekend. A protest described by authorities as one of the most violent in the city's history. He's now e-begging for a pro-bono lawyer to help him. He'll be seeking to legally overturn the public health orders in place. Which, is quite frankly incredibly unlikely.

Not really, I'm genuinely curious from your argument if you sincerely think battery animal farming/ animal farming in general and high density urban centre's are simular in terms of hygeine and to a lesser degree decease control.
