Worth mentioning that unless the con covered it for them accommodations, travel costs, food, and other shit like that (all of them buying themselves goodies, in Kevin's case probably a truckload) will have cut into that total as well. Not that significantly when compared to profit in the thousands, but worth mentioning. Cons aren't that cheap to attend unless you live close enough that you can go home each night... and we know the boys aren't exactly frugal.

According to the con's site, they appear to give a lump sum for charity; $15k, which since it's such an even number and is listed for two previous years seems like a standard. On top of that they were supposedly auctioning/raffling a fursuit (I'm assuming ticket raffle, a good fursuit can cost thousands on its own), selling tickets for a charity poker night, etc etc. Plus whatever the Tranchers sold of their questionable wares.
So the majority was the lump donation from the con (I'm assuming that's the part that comes out of ticket sales), and between all the rest of the charity events they only managed to scrape in about a thousand dollars. That seems to be the breakdown.

Ticket and the hotel will burn a bit of a hole on your pocket, expect +60$/Day per person without any travel/con expenses at all
If the trancheros had accommodation and ticket for free (sorta likely) then that 16K will be mostly profit.

It would be nice to keep the Denfur org up to date with how the "charity" money is being spent. Because we *know* the moment they get back to the tranch they *will* splurge half the profit or more

The minute they're forced to see the inside of Club Fed, news article about how "Thuh Sisterwood Sisterhood" is under attack by the Feds will spread like wildfire. This, of course, assumes the Feds even care enough to go after clearly insane men in the middle of Bumfuck, Nowhere.
They'll have to do something when these lunatics gun down some Jehovah's Witnesses or some shit.
The tranch raised about $16,000 at Denfur.
Well that should keep these fat fucks in food for about a couple weeks.

@Taylor Swift's Ghostwrite did your source at the convention say if they were selling any other fiber besides that matted mess of poorly-spun 'art' yarn? It's barely holding together - the end of the one visible yarn is just dissolving into fluffy fiber. Nothing made from it would hold together. I have a feeling that it would likely come apart if any tension was applied during the knitting or crochet process. No patterns, no sample garments or toys, no kits, no fiber art tools or accessories, nothing.

The more I think about it, the more this shitty yarn is an allegory for their shitty fake tranch.

They did not say as much, but that is everything in that room. Unless they had better yarn in the boxes you can see behind them and under the table what we see is what they had.

But I doubt they even sold much as per the Furfriend nobody was even really going in the room period and when someone did they were pretty standoffish about even making small talk. Which, they did leave Bonnie and Jen at the table so that doesn't surprise at all.

Hopefully DenFur was smart enough to not legally classify that money as "charity", otherwise they might be in trouble. After all, the Tranch is not a charity.
As I recall @Meiwaku DID find a secondary company that they have registered as an actual 501 charity, but the ranch is really vague about the difference between the two because it's clearly meant to be a double dip into the pot; one is them selling their shit, and the other is supposed to be the ~trans haven~ side of things, as I recall (but since all the money for either one goes to whatever the fuck they want, realistically it's all the same thing.).

It's all suspicious as hell, I feel like it probably wouldn't survive any scrutiny whatsoever, and I would bet cash money that all the finances and spending are hopelessly intermingled. Near as anyone could tell, the 501 was very hastily registered right about when they started getting scrutiny for this (and I think a similar time to when it was announced they'd be guests of DenFur, raising the question if they only bothered doing it specifically for raking in that dirty furry money).

Here's an article with some examples of the fundraising amounts:

Furries donated over a million dollars to charities in 2019

According to the article, the average amount of donation per person at a furry convention is $10. These events are the ones that had the best donation rate per person:

Do we know how many furries attended this event? I honestly think they might be fudging the numbers a bit (or a lot). It didn't seem like it was that crowded and, if the others are anything like the Tranch losers, they wouldn't even be able to afford to be that generous and buy merch, too.
Denfur has released their attendance numbers so we can figure this out now.

So 2566 attendance with charity number of $16,000 is only an average of $6.24 per furry. But wait, Denfur donated to the charity number. So with the lower charity amount of $10,985 by the attendees turns this to a measly $4.28 per furry. :story:

In comparison to IFC, another furry con that took place this same weekend.

Almost the same amount going to charity with a lot less furries that went to this con the average donation per furry is $12.20. Twice as much even with DenFur pushing up their charity numbers.

Damn they really get fresh syringes for every shot, I'd figure you could just reuse (with new needles obviously) since it's the same drug every time. Also anyone have a guess about the extra needle at the bottom. I would think they use it to poke a hole in the drug bottle, to make it easier for the thinner gauge needles of the syringe to get in. But I don't know, all my med knowledge is veterinary.

yerh you really dont want to reuse needles unless you've got an autoclave. abcesses are no joke

I'm surprised they're using .23g needles though, I doubt they're injecting anything more than .5ml at a time and .27g insulin pins would be a lot less painful
.23g is usually used for 1.5ml of oil based steroids and up

the bottom needle looks to be a drawing needle, its generally a larger needle for drawing up the shot quicker, before you switch to the smaller gauge for the actual shot

Man, IRS saga would be funny but really slow. I'll keep hoping for interpersonal drama saga and housefire saga. I wonder if they would do fire saga themselves if the IRS came down on them.

I think they made more than they're letting on then: 16,000$ from charity according to the convention, but it doesn't say what the Tenacious Unicorn ranch made on their own merch. I would not be surprised if they came home with 200$ to 2000$ extra depending on how many anarchist with disposable income there were there. I'm also guessing that both t-shirts and stickers sold outnumber the yarn sales greatly.
I wonder when the next Earl saga will occur. If there will be one, I’m betting it’ll be within the next day or two.
EARL WATCH 2021
They said they want to do more conventions, so maybe they'll replace the Earl grift if the conventions are more lucrative.
Christ it's like the Atacama Desert. Wonder when they'll start selling trans-flag-coloured pan pipes?
Carve out all those dialators Kevin's been neglecting.
