Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Guys, I lately come across on the information that unlike POTUS the vice doesn't need to write down wealth, how it was acquired or with whom he is in close relationships simply because this position is neither the execution branch nor legislative branch so nobody can force him to do anything. In other words, if POTUS doesn't feel competent for international relations and pass it to his vice the gray sphere for any taken action is just jarring.

One small point.
Imagine placing experienced politician in executive power but too old to grasp all the running topics on one hand and the other aspiring politician who is inexperienced how things in Washington works but is willing to take risky actions despite the fact that superior will have to deal with repercussions. What if you just see the stage with one actor but the true decision-making person is standing right beside him like a puppet master playing with doll about to die due to age?
Biden spend too much time in Washington to make this mess. He is in politics like from 70's? Do you really think someone with that amount of experience in Washington wouldn't know that dislocation of troops cannot be done in few weeks and it takes months of preparation and planning? Unless you are some Californian lawmaker who never had interaction with military but that doesn't stop you from making bold decisions like ending the mission in Afghanistan signed not by vice but by POTUS with all coming consequences along.

This is all cover up for Harris to let her gain experience how world revolves. This term is not about Biden but making Harris eligible for running in 2024. This is her first strike and that is why Biden is saying that goals where different and it is fault of Trump. He simply can't blame her because this will be the end for great plan coming ahead.
