The order of succession would put Pelosi after Kamala, and after that is a bunch of people nobody knows and wouldn't trust -merely because they were part of the administration-. You can still get COVID even if you are vaccinated. Perhaps it lessens the chance and it does seem to lessen the severity but you can still get it. Addditionally, factors like when you were vaccinated, your overall health, age, etc. affect the effectiveness of the vaccine.
Such, we are not being told to get a booster as protection rapidly wanes.
