Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen. Incompetent President, unwilling Vice-President, inept regime. Would love to be a fly on the wall at G7. Joey's going to catch hell so fast from so many different directions that Mommy will need to take him back to the hotel; he won't be able to process.

Now Kamala's had "health problems" in Hanoi. Guess she must be on the rag or something. Maybe a hangover after hitting the bars the night before, or getting wrecked on the plane. Dumbest thing I ever heard of, sending her to Hanoi in the midst of a crisis like this.

We need to thank our lucky stars this isn't a crisis with Russia. Shit, we might all be ash floating down in that case.

The situation is untenable now. And things are likely to get MUCH worse before they get better.

The evacuation numbers are misleading. The department of state and defense (I hope I got those right, since not an American) had grossly differing numbers because they counted differently. Other counted evacuated from Afghanistan, other counted evacuated to a "safe zone" (including the airport). This is the safe zone number to my knowledge, IF the number is true.

Remember that EVERYONE in the Biden administration have said that they're working on getting out all of those that WANT out. So, if any don't get out, it will clearly be because they didn't want to leave. C'mon man, you can't force them!
