Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

This is actually terrifying. The fact that this all could have been avoided doesn't ease the despair, either. I shouldn't be thinking of "Forget About Freeman" from Half-Life when reading about a foreign policy disaster like this...

My immediate thought is that after Biden folded like wet tissue paper, the Taliban made it clear they are going to up the timetable again. But that's pure speculation.

Its panic from the handlers to get out and stop the bleeding.

Truth is if we airdropped in troops, bombed the fuck out of Kabul, and took 50% casualties to get most of the Americans out it would do less damage to the Dems and America's reputation than what is occurring now.
