There was definitely a resistance but it wasn't as large or wide spread like the french like to claim. The french love to claim around 400,000 resistance members, but external reviews place the number no higher than 75,000.
Pretty much. both the Soviets and Yugos had hundreds of thousands of partisans each fighting the Germans, while the French mostly assisted in intelligence gathering and rescuing downed allied airmen.
That's about right. Most of the resistance groups often competed with each other more than with the Nazis and were content to stockpile Allied weapon shipments than to put them to good use. You have some successful operations like delaying Das Reich to prevent them reaching Normandy. Even then that was an SOE operation and the resistance members were just the requisite manpower needed to do the job.
The Brits have only been French allies since 1854. From 1066 till the Napoleonic Wars, they were basically irreconcilable enemies. Not to defend the French, but that sort of conditioning doesn't go away overnight.

France invaded Ottoman Egypt under the pretense of taking out the Mamluks on behalf of their Ottoman allies but instead continued marching up the levant with the intent to effectively seize most of the Ottoman middle east. There are too many betrayals to mention with Napoleon but forcefully placing his family on the throne of Spain is one of the bigger ones. Napoleon III signed a separate peace with Austria without Consulting Sardinia during 2nd war of Italian Independence. The WW1 negotiations fucking over the British and Italians are worth a mention as well but are a bit more complex than I would like to go into especially considering the British were also trying to backstab the French. There's also a laundry list of French fuckery in the EU and their former colonial possessions but I once again more than I would want to go into.

Unfortunately True. I get that when there's a tangible gain to be had and I'm understanding as to why the French fucked with the Anglos so much. On the other hand, French betrayals tend to be dumb and self destructive so end up coming off as needlessly greedy and treacherous.
