Speaking of which, “pandemic” gets on my nerves as well due to just how often it’s used. Whether or not you think Covid is a pandemic, hearing “the pandemic this” and “the pandemic that” in every other sentence leads me to believe that people are just using it because it’s a “big word” in order to sound smarter.
