So, running through the implications in my head.
1: Kamala is out. She and Jill hate each other, if Jill won out in that spat it means Kamala has to be destroyed. Actually does explain some things, Kamala isn't being kept out of the limelight to protect her, she's being kept out to minimize her.
2: Cabal infighting is confirmed, they'd never let such a big decision be made by Jill otherwise. Jill will be unable to unite them though, she is firmly in the Establishment camp so she can expect to have that faction on her side, but the other two will experience heightened hostility.

So, on the subject of the US's lost credibility on the international stage, I can get how fucked up it can be on the macro. But would it really be so bad?
