Even many heroin junkies are not able to see him as a peer since he just is that pathetic.
Hey, a lot of junkies have to hustle their ass off to feed that monkey on their back and keep withdrawals at bay. Sometimes getting a fix requires hard work and personal risk, never mind getting enough quality smack to continue flying for any decent length of time. I'll bet Shit-Lips has never worked as urgently or hustled as hard for anything in his life as a smackhead who is hooked through his sack and back and is desperately jonesing for a fix.
It's actually on a soundstage set up to look like the actual Pawn Shop. If you've ever watched the show the door is different leading into the shop than it is on TV. There's clear glass for the real door and frosted glass for the fake door.
In Las Vegas, there's always more to the story, and the story behind the story of "Pawn Stars" is a shocker.

I was gonna say that I'm pretty sure the "shop" everyone sees on TV is either a set or located at a different building away from the actual Gold & Silver. I mean, it only makes sense to do it that way. It's more secure, and it allows the filming crew to have better control over conditions and environment while shooting. And they hand pick all the people who end up appearing on the show, and they'll only pick people who have something that's actually valuable or will make for interesting television in some way. A book and a worthless coin that some creepy pimp gave to some creepy john doesn't make for interesting television, and it for damn sure isn't valuable. It's just Russholes unwarranted sense of self-importance rearing it's ugly face again.
For a man obsessed with getting into show business, Russ never fails to demonstrate that he knows ZERO about how it works.
Russ IS pretty entertaining, though. I mean, he's not entertaining in the ways he WANTS to entertain people. It's more of a "clueless bumblefuck unintentionally entertains onlookers" kind of entertaining.
It's just so typical of Russ to think that everyone in the store was paying attention to his interaction enough to laugh him out of the place. In reality, other customers and staff would have been minding their own damn business (unless, as I suspect, Russ made a big scene and started yelling/being indignant)
Most people don't pay much attention to the randos around them, unless some rando gives them a good reason to pay attention to them. Something like flying into a loud, childish, hysterical temper tantrum right in the middle of a public place, like a small, crowded shop floor. Something like that will definitely grab people's attention.
Most of us are angry immediately after something pisses us off. That's when you're in the, "I'm going to write a scathing review and fuck them bastards over" mode. Like, three days later the anger has dissipated and you can't even be arsed to write a slightly rude review anymore and just move on with your life.
Russ bears grudges so deep that he only gets more angry as time passes. Weeks after the event he's still seething enough to write a bad review, not realising that this review doesn't put the shop in a bad light at all. To him though, he was humiliated and he was called out for being wrong and that's worthy of his wrath.
It's hilarious though that he honestly thought a film crew is on premises 24/7 just waiting to feature Russ and his plights. You know he'd fantasised about this moment for a long time. He'd walk in, be a millionaire on his coin press tat and be elevated to fame and fortune for the rest of his life. What a twat.
Exactly. Most people will be pissed for a couple minutes, maybe shout a couple of profanities to vent their frustration, then get over it and move on with their day. The fact that Russhole not only holds on to all these perceived slights and wrongdoings against him for excessive lengths of time, but he also allows that seething anger and hatred remain at the surface for weeks at a time or longer...that's definitely not an indication of good mental and emotional health. In fact, it's likely a clear indication of some kind of underlying mental illness or personality disorder. Narcissists will hold grudges for a long, long time, but what's really concerning is the barely-contained irrational rage that Russ is expressing. That could be a symptom of some mental illness unrelated to his malignant Narcissism. Or he could just be a feeble-minded idiot with a severely stunted maturity level who never learned to manage his feelings properly. Who knows?
