Fat Acceptance Movement / Fat Girlcows

Jac jac is closing in on her original starting weight at an alarming pace. The picture on the right was taken just a day or two ago. Bottom is her at her smallest.

Good for you that shaving only takes you less than three minutes but just because it is easy for you doesn't mean it is easy for others. And just because it is easy doesn't mean I have an obligation to do it.

Exactly. Whether a woman shaves or not is her personal decision. Hairless or hairy, both is absolutely fine as long as it makes you feel good about your body.

And unlike obesity, hairy legs or armpits do not give you diabetes or coronary heart disease or put a strain on the medical system.

It is annoying when feminism gets highjacked for political concepts like FA/HAES and racism or is used by narcissists for their own personal gain. But I also think that oppression is in part subjective. Some feel oppressed, some don't. Everybody is different. However, I don't think that men should be allowed to tell women how oppressed or how not oppressed they should feel because really, how would you know? You are not women and you can't ever be.

You know fat women always wave their arms around while dancing cause they are the most mobile part of their body and it gives the illusion of movement.

Though it is a person's choice on whether they shave or not, good for them. But to be fair, I think body hair on BOTH GENDERS, MEN INCLUDED, is a turn off for me. I am not being sexist. I just have a preference here.

Also, though I am for gender equality, I just think people need to focus on IRL things more than fictional things. That is not a healthy mindset to have IMO. It comes off as a person having mental problems, if anything.

This is the outfit she chose to ‘hike’ in.

We can probably bet that by "hike" she means "go outside of the car for ~15 minutes." I wouldn't worry about her though, I'm sure she packed plenty of snacks to fuel our brave'n'dainty athlete on her sojourn. :optimistic::optimistic::optimistic:

One thing I still don't get is why so many HAEs refer to themselves as "a fat," as if their fat = a humanoid entity and their entire persona.

Like okay, I kind of get it, they're trying to "reclaim" their fatness or whatever, and in fairness their entire personas ARE based on being landwhales...but saying "As a fat" sounds so dehumanizing and comically reductive.

Bekah is a great example what woke culture combined with un-resolved trauma does to a person. Fat Acceptance... not even once.

Bekah is not the only great example :-)
I am always wondering what un-resolved trauma April might have. I know she posted a video about her weight gain but I dont think she was honest there. She definitely shared a lot of bs.
She must have rapidly gained weight because all of the extra chunk landed on her stomach and chest. If you look at her older pictures you can kinda see that she used to have a pear body shape: thick thighs & hips. Now she is a big apple

Oh and you could totally see her craziness/mental problems in the eyes in her skinny days.

It is sad. She has a way to rationalize her completely understandable behaviour.

She acted like many rapevictims/victims of abuse do. Eat the emotion away, build a wall of fat, soothe the hurt, make oneself unattractive this way to avoid being seen as sexually desirable. That's so "normal" as a coping mechanism.

Therapy or otherwise learning to understand, finding other ways to defend herself and manage emotions can help her overcome that unhealthy coping mechanism over time. And save her sexuality. As someone who desires and will be desired, whatever body she's in.

Bekah has found a special scapegoat within her own mind: Internalised fatphobia. Something the outside world apparrently provides and exudes so much, it can be internalised and turns against the owner of that conscious mind she reigns over.

It's not she herself who hates her body, her mind is made to hate her by the society she lives in. She tries to distance this working mind of hers from herself. Meanwhile she goes on abusing her body like there's no tomorrow.

It sounds so absurd and constructed, so alien as a concept. Things are much simpler than that.
You don't need to play this degrading game and assault us with a daily dose of disgustingness instead.

eta: She externalizes fatphobia as an act of revenge.
We get to be disgusted by her deformed body to prove her point.
ironically, exercise is one of the best things you can do for yourself after trauma/depression besides therapy. it makes you feel like you have some agency over your body and life again, it can give you a reason to get out of bed/the house, and feeling physically better lends itself to better mental health. Setting even small goals like going for a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood every day helps immensely, and slowly increasing the goal gives you a sense of accomplishment and purpose.

It's really tragic that she's gone down this route after rape and doubly tragic that the route she's chosen is such a toxic, cultish one. It really encapsulates why fat acceptance makes me so MOTI compared to everything else. Many, maybe even most, fat teenage girls and young adult women got fat due to using food as a way to cope with mental illness, trauma, abuse, etc. and are often bullied at school for being fat on top of that. So vulnerable, impressionable young women and girls are naturally attracted to fat acceptance because everywhere else seems to be cruel and unaccepting, whereas FA seems like an oasis full of people who understand.

Except it's really just a swamp filled with bitter, raging narcissists who failed at weight loss and eventually decided to give up completely. Because they can't cope with their failure, they now try to drag down others by manipulating them into thinking they're terrible people if they want to lose weight, that being obese doesn't cause health issues, and that stuffing your face constantly is fine. The movement goes hand in hand with constantly talking about mental health, so you think they're on your side for more than just your weight.

And it makes sense if you're late teens/early 20s, obese, suffering from depression, ptsd from rape, and haven't had any real health issues yet. Anyone who shows concern is just a shallow, fatphobic asshole.

You laugh at the "thanks I'm cured" posts about therapists suggesting things like exercise or yoga or mindfulness on social media and already consider them bullshit without even trying them. exercise is already hard and painful due to your weight, so how could it possibly help with depression? Getting out of bed is a challenge, you're sure as hell not going to leave it to do something you think is torturous in the first place.

Your only real comfort is food, and you're brainwashed into thinking weight loss is fatphobic, that you'll gain it right back anyway, that you'll get an eating disorder, that you'll never be able to eat anything but unseasoned lettuce again. Not being able to reach for a pint of ice cream after a bad day seems terrifying. Calories are fake and also gay. Doctors are fatphobic. Don't take their advice.

And by this point, you've done irreversible damage. One of the most powerful and horrifying abusive tactics is convincing the victim that they have no control over their circumstances and that the wider world is dangerous and full of people who want to hurt you, despite the worst danger being right at home. FA truly traps people inside this prison that they build in their own minds.

I think you'll find exercise makes you alt-right. It's unavoidable.

There's no knowing what it does to the body, though.

All jokes aside. The fact that someone who is in the same position as April was gets fed shit like this in mainstream media outlets doesn't help.

Hello. I looked back to the posts on Monday and didn't see anything- but, I apologize if this has already been posted. Youtuber fattie Alexandria Rodriguez (formally known as LearningToBeFearless) rehomed her dog Coco after owning it for less than three months. There was no evidence that this dog was aggressive prior to this post on Instagram. Here are a couple of the only videos left of Coco on her main (only?) channel. This girl gives up on everything in her life, and she also has already done this with a cat she adopted a couple years back. So... let's just hope she never has a baby.

What is it with fats claiming to go hours and hours without eating and then having to 'force themselves' to eat? Sugar, no less. The delusion is real.
Newsflash lady, most people can go for hours without eating. It's called being a functional adult.

"I just need to figure out how to make myself eat when I'm alone."
That's absolute horseshit. You have 0 problems with eating, alone or not. You're fat because you don't eat during the day then you consume a massive amount of calories late at night. That's why you're fat.
