Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Biden admin will be flying over pallets of cash in exchange for safe passage. It's basically their only hand left to play at this point. The optics would be terrible if they went back in to save them with the military and catastrophic if they leave people there to die.

Given how smart the Taliban has played this, they might not take it. They'll have chinkbux soon enough, and pallets of cash might be less valuable than further humiliating the US.

The optics on this are pretty fucking horrible too. They'll do it, but it'll be through some covert shit that we won't hear about.

It's either that or we're not getting everybody out. After all, they've been saying that they'll get everybody out "who wants to leave". What're the chances that the folks who end up getting beheaded conveniently wanted to stay?

Nah. I say the Taliban will come out with a couple plane loads of "occupying forces" that still remain in their country, dress them in prison orange and herd them onto the the military air base that we abandoned, and demand that Biden send planes to get them the fuck out of their country. What little I hear is that these people are from California and D.C so.... not really no.

There are rumors of deep state hostages and kids related to deep state people over there, which might explain the extreme reluctance to let the soldiers off the chain.
