Apparently they've had 2 planes loaded and in the air and the State Department forced them to return to the Aghani airport by telling the destination airports to not allow them to land. State Department is also telling other countries to not accept their (US) evacuees (forcing them to HAVE to go to the US).

They're saying that 10k - 30k US persons with blue US passports will be left in Aghanistan.

This past week has, in my opinion, exposed to the whole world that the majority of people working in FedGov care more about protecting their own little fiefdoms than about getting actual fucking results.

Getting into the airport is apparently a holy nightmare that's fraught with danger, it doesn't look like the government is going to get everyone out and when they inevitably leave you to die, the Taliban is going to come in and kill you.

Apparently the government is telling the parents of the 24 High School kids that if they can't get into the airport, they're going to get left behind? (BTW, my parent's wouldn't let me go see Metallica when I was a kid, who's parent's signed off to send them to Afghanistan).

The default action in politics is no action, and with the Cabal devolved into civil war nobody is able to make the sudden decisions. So nobody is at the helm. What is occurring is the sheer inertia of the process, left utterly uncontrolled, and the only policies able to be done are attempts at mitigating the damage of that.
