TGWTG Linkara / Lewis Lovhaug - HMMMMMMM? (Dead Gay Muppet Gangbang)

Honestly, I see him more as a predator of opportunity. He's far too weak, timid, and cowardly to actually prey on someone directly, but he'll take the opportunity if presented with a situation that just drops in his lap.

I'd actually be really curious to hear from his first actual girlfriend on how they got together. There could be some interesting hints there. (I know it's claimed to be Iron Liz, but I truly question that at this point.) Especially if she was groomed and/or drunk when they first hooked up.

He reminds me a lot of an old club acquaintance in college who drank heavily at parties with people to have sex, despite them being generally wasted and not normally into him. It got into predatory areas and he ended up dropped/banned from most extracurricular clubs and groups because it was crossing into assault. I'm getting the same vibes from Lewis.
Lewis is a teatotaler, famously, to the point of being considered a killjoy at CA gatherings.

Alcohol isn't the point. It's exploiting the situation to prey on someone using something to make it seem "acceptable".

It's the nu-male sex pest hiding in plain sight meme except non-ironically.

I doubt it.

I remember seeing a vid of April, before she dated spoony, hitting on Lewis and he was oblivious to it.

Give Lewis a drunk girl and he wouldn't know what to do with her. He leers and that's it. Women have to do most of the work, which is why I joke about Viga norbiting him

i'm still shocked that you two know each other.
They were simpler times and I still look fondly back on the times.

But his was a betrayal I guess, one too many. Again I reiterate, I'm here for catharsis.

It makes me sad to have to be unable to reconcile the image I have in my head and the actual person he is now.
Kid lewis was weird but always nice to me. Just over time i sort of get dejected a lot more by him once he had his new people.

Going by Lewis' writings I don't see him as a rapist he's more like someone who wants to be raped and I mean play raped by that not really raped.

Lewis wants some tranny to make him "her" nasty little cock slut, where he can be dominated but also call cut if things get too real.

Viga can confirm

Between him, Lupa, and Spoony, it's been fascinating to watch in real time.

It's a fairly depressing portrait of e-fame.

People grow apart, but it is upsetting to watch someone you knew warp beyond all recognition. As flawed and awkward as the Lewis who wrote "Lightbringer" was, he probably wouldn't have merited a thread on this forum. Young adults with cringey fanfics are a dime a dozen, and most probably grow out of it when they enter the real world.

But e-fame has a way of nurturing one's worst qualities. The praise from fans exacerbated his egotism, the mocking from trolls made him defensive and resistant to criticism. This thread might wither and die if he, at the very least, developed a sense of humor about himself.

Look at Doug Walker. He absorbed the CTC clusterfuck and it barely affected him in the long term. And he's winning hearts and minds by (whether genuine or not) not being bothered by being the butt of a joke. Can you imagine Lewis trying to survive a CTC level of criticism? He'd be back at the furniture store screaming at customers for not appreciating him enough.

I think thats why I'm ok with sharing these positive stories of him because he was an alright kid back then if a bit judgemental

What kills me a bit is he cited irreconcilable differences but we were always different politically. He was into all that cook fringe rightwing stuff back then and i was either politically unaware or didnt care.

he would be lucky if that

I think it's due to his tendency to overdo things. He likes chicken tendies, they're the only thing he eats. He likes Pokemon, he gets obsessed with it. So he likely assumes that if he has a drink and enjoys it, he'll become a full blown alcoholic.

Too bad nobody spiked his drink at an anniversary special. Drunk Lewis might have been funny.

I doubt it, mostly because I doubt he'd ever have the balls. Even if Lindsay got hammered and passed out naked in his bed, I can't see him pulling a Jewario just because he'd be too scared of her waking up and catching him. He'd probably leave the room in case someone found them.

If drunk Lindsay came in and fucked him thinking he was Todd, though, he wouldn't stop her.

Really? Like what?
I think Ann coulter and Ayn Rand.

I give Ayn Rand Credit because "atlas Shrugged" is a good name, suggested by her husband apparently. The premise seems about as thought out as the typical young adult dystopian novel, TBH. Would have prefered more greek mythology.

Not sure if it's possible to reverse engineer angel armor or lightbringer to figure out if ayn rand had any direct influence there.

Not surprising Lewis drifted towards that one tbh. It's the go-to for center to right leaning smoothbrains who want to pretend they're smarter than they really are. MovieBob also allegedly read it, though I suspect he cribnoted it and looked for summaries instead.

Coulter is also pretty much "I want a talking head to say I listen to that's right leaning" choice as well. He probably picked her due to being a woman and for coming off as less retarded as Glenn Beck.

Probably just stole from other sources since Lewis has no convictions, beliefs, or talents.

Between him, Lupa, and Spoony, it's been fascinating to watch in real-time. You'd expect sex, drugs, and money to go to someone's head. With Channel Awesome, it never amounted to anything but some convention appearances and a handful of asspatters on Twitter.

It's a fairly depressing portrait of humanity.
Oh, it is. Not to derail from the topic, but overglorified "entertainment critiquing" definitely gutted a generation. I don't know if it's because the lot of them are but spoiled and pampered asshats from the ass end of entitled nerd spectatorship, but all signs point to yes. Where I'm getting with that is that with all of their energy poured into their "complaints" and "critiquing" turned several minute AVGN wannabe skits leeching off of already existing media, which, from good, bad, and everything inbetween, were made from efforts to push out entertainment from a project or whatever, they thought they can ride that wave onto the gravy train.

Fun fact: Mystery Science Theater did not pay off until they got onto Comedy Central. They only managed to get big because their backlog of movies to choose from are from HALF OF A CENTURY'S WORTH OF CINEMA to last them to stardom into the late 1990s.

Another thing I cannot stress repeating, it's all an act. Did the showhosts on MST3K act like tards off set? Do Hollywood celebs all act like Lindsay Lohan? No?

Well, the answer's here, now, and little too late, but talk about becoming exactly what you said you were "different" and swore you wouldn't become.

MST3K actually made it a point to keep good relations with the people they did their works on and they paid their license fees.

I vaguely remember a stream Lindsay Ellis was on (with Lewis?) where Lindsay said if Disney or Warner Bros ever had a bad mood, they were fucked(this was around 2010-2013, or the salad days) and Linsday either mentioned or Lewis was there to go "Nu uh! Muh Fair use!" and Lindsay basically went "That's cute you think it works that way" and Lewis's arguement boiled down to "I asked my dad and he said what we did was legal, so there!"

You can screech fair use all you want but at the end of the day, if a studio doesn't like you they can absolutely grind you into the dust with legal fees.

It's why TTS fucked off from doing 40k content. Sure he's 100% within his right to keep making TTS since it's parody and parody is within the grounds of fair use, Games Workshop could raw fuck his ass into oblivion with legal bullshittery.

Thinking otherwise is naive and it wouldn't surprise me to find out that's how Lewis thinks.

If Disney woke up grumpy and someone decided they didn't like Lewis's tone about one of their older books, they could send him two letters before lunch.

1) A cease and desist
2) a request for damages.

1 will make it impossible for him to make new videos and 2 will try to tally up how much money he made on disney owned properties. When fair use is being decided civilly, Disney can issues continuances over and over, by the cease and desist is in place and Lewis can't make videos.

6 month continuance. Legal fees. 6 month continuance. More legal fees. Oh what's this? ANOTHER 6 month continuance, and anothe set of legal fees! Even if Lewis was in fair use heaven(and I don't think he is) big companies bleed people to death this way.

This endgame isn't likely. But the albatross is always hanging over his head. Quite frankly, I'd never want a career where my entire livihood relies on the fact a big faceless IP holding company might not be in a good mood one day. This is exactly what happened with Team Four Star. And they were lucky Toei didn't push further, because Toei was well within their legal rights as rights-holders to push much further and decimate TFS as a company.

TBH Lewis is probably in a better place fair-use-wise compared to his fellow "reviewers". The fact he is working from a print medium means he must scan and act out parts of the comics he wants to talk about. This means he uses only what's necessary for the review rather than the whole thing, and he is being "transformative" by transferring to an audio-visual medium. Plus, he is so damn whiny that his reviews can't help but contain commentary (read: complaining).

That doesn't mean DC or Marvel couldn't fuck up his day if they wanted... But chances are they either aren't aware, or do not care about the obscure internet guru shitting on 30-year-old comics.
