In the future, people will wonder why Saint's Row: Fortnite - Take Down the Patriarchy Edition was a sales disaster

"It's probably the white supremacists fault" they'll say
Also the vax skeptics.

Who are those guys in the trailer and why they are calling themselves Saints (while it isn't Stillwater and they're not wearing purple)

I will go full denial and say that it is some Fortnite dlc.
My personal theory is that they initially made an Agents of Mayhem sequel or spinoff, panicked when the realized everyone hated AOM, and slapped the Saints Row label on it.

Booted up SR1 on the Xenia emulator and found a disc dl link through a youtube description.
In the literal first five minutes, fucked off the story missions and got called a nigger 10 times for driving like a maniac by pedestrians.
God what a time to be alive it was back then
How's it work?
I literally just downloaded xenia to see if I can play red dead redemption. Didn't even think of giving sr 1 and 2 a try.

I had a ton of graphical glitches, but I also have to use an old build cause I'm an AMD fag.

I did notice an extreme use of teal/turquois, blue and orange in the gameplay snippets. They're not even going to be purple anymore, are they?

Watch Dogs 2 is pretty good, the issue with it isn't just the SoCal 'kewl' visuals the game was pushing, it was also due to the predecessor being extremely unpolished and underwhelming
the mission concepts were better and they didn't railroad you like the first game, but like everyone here says the plotline and characters made people nauseous.

i did enjoy being able to just call swat or hitmen whenever i wanted to get somewhere easily. the problem with ubisoft games especially post-unity is this buffet style "everything for everyone" stuff. i bet way more people would have enjoyed it if A. the protag just straight up couldn't/wouldn't use guns, b. it was more about stealthily infiltrating instead of just killing the guards. not that you couldn't go stealth, no kill run if you wanted. but the fact that you had to impose on yourself is what turns most non-casuals away from ubisoft games. they went from one extreme to another. plus SF has the same problem the GTA v map has where only a third of it is really a city and the rest is rural/suburb/ocean; which is obviously a bad idea for a game centered around electronics.

Having said all that The Living City mod for Watch dogs is great for that exact reason. it does its best to put in the mission types/styles as well as the hacks from WD2 but you still get gritty feeling of the original watch dogs. My only complaint is that no one has been able to successful combine it with graphical mods last i checked. also the fixers interrupt missions way too often you have to turn down that.
