Horrifying idea: what if Luna's half-closed eyes when she sleeps is just Robyn purposefully irritating her eyes to force them to squint and show everyone that her precious Luna-Buna closes her eyes to sleep just like a regular functioning kid? I'm no eye doctor or brain doctor or even a doctor in general, but I would assume it's a natural behavior to blink when stuff gets in your eye. If it's something like oil that doesn't leave the eye, they'd probably stay closed or squinted due to the irritation.

She might have gotten sick of being asked how she knows Luna sleeps with her eyes open and found out coconut oil makes her "close" them for a while. I strongly doubt Luna regained the brain power required to close her eyes to sleep.

Those are contractures. Those props we sometimes see on her hands are to help contractures, but they need to be used consistently and not just for IG photos.
