Conrad Aaron Collins / Diginée / Digibro / Digibrony / Otaku Gonzo Journalism & the Pro Crastinators Podcast - Pedophile, Two-Faced Weeaboo Ponyfag Youtube Analyst Who Wants to be a Loli + Drama, Friends & Enemies

Also, here's the near 10 minute rant Conrad did a few days ago; "I Hate How We Talk About Collaborative Projects; Particularly when they are attributed to one person",

I'm listening to this rant and while it's retarded and pretentious I don't think it's more so than his old Whirling Dervish podcasts. Like congratulations Digi, you're describing in the most obnoxious way possible the process by which pop music is manufactured and that reviewers operate with incomplete information when analysing the context behind the creation of works of art. And yet most music reviewers worth their salt do discuss the role of producers in new albums, plus the difference between music and TV or film is that in the latter the director has to sign off on every element that ends up on screen, so it's ultimately their authorial voice even if they don't come up with every element like in his Shinbo example.

All of this to complain that as an anime critic he worked with less information than those in other fields as if learning Japanese wasn't an option, and that he gets bored with corporate pop because there are too many cooks and it's made to be as accessible as possible, absolutely not seething about the state of his own music career.

Still, when reading Ben's Discord a-logs you'd think he'd almost turned into a vegetable, whereas in this rant he doesn't sound all that scatter-brained.

This just sounds like socially abnormal hippie stuff, honestly. Everything else is pretty pathetic, but being close with his hippie mom is the least of digi's problems right now.

Thank god he isn't talking about Eureka 7.

With all sexual ambiguity in eva he'll have more to make letter E more about himself.
He's going by the Japanese titles on MAL (such as "Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon" instead of just "Sailor Moon") so it's likely he'll still cover it under the name "Koukyoushihen Eureka Seven" for K, if he even makes it that far.

True, I missed that. But they also use Shinseiki Evangelion is Jap land, not that I think he'll reach the K.

Though maybe he will, his life seems pretty stable now.

Do you think the Collins have just given up on Digi a long time ago?

Considering that the Western title for Eva is Neon Genesis Evangelion, I don't think there are any specific naming criteria beyond what Digi feels like discussing or, in this case, what he thinks will do well with the algorithm.

Still, a part of me is morbidly curious about what he'd have to say about Eureka 7. I bet he'd skirt around the entire part about growing up into a man and he'd hyperfocus on Eureka and Anemone instead: mostly because he naturally gravitates towards talking about the rainbow-coloured anime girls, but also because he'd probably try to draw a forced parallel between his transition and Eureka's metamorphosis at the end of the show.

I didn't wanna weeb out but seeing it's a show about growing up, hiding under an action veneer. Just lemme ramble for a bit.

The show is mostly about accepting people other than yourself, letting go of past demon and growing up. We see the growing up through the main male characters and how all get changed through their relationship with their female partner, who change too.

Renton goes from a clueless bumbling child idolizing larger than life situations, only to later come to terms with how much he didn't know and didn't want to accept. He goes from having a crush to making the main girl (who he cringed the fuck out before) his wife. This is Shinji from NGE but if everything worked out in the end.
Dominic the military investigator gets tied to the hip with a female super soldier that he treats like a tool (she is quite impossible to handle), drugging her up and telling her to get to battle (get in the mech bitch), only to later realize that the military is doing way more fucked up shit; mans up afterwards.
Holland is the leader of an infamous gang of skysurfers idolized by Renton who's group in reality is a group of anti-state terrorists. In his time in the military he was dating Renton's late sisters who's shadow and fallout after leaving the military causes him to lash out against his crew, his current lover and to avoid responsibility. His character is what made my entire rewatch worth it.

This entire show is about growing up, manning up and carving the best path. When I watched the show as a teen I was only interested to see where the main ship went, on re-watch Holland and the other characters made the show for me.

I think Digi is still afraid of rewatching it. I remember his saying back in the day he still didn't rewatch it because he didn't wanna re-evaluate it for fear of not liking it as much as the first time.

In general? Who knows; but I imagine it's been a while since they tried to understand how Digi's life works or how they make money.

They might not even realize how bad it is. Digi has held to the explanation that this is just a lull in between projects, and I doubt his parents follow his internet presence that closely. From their perspective, it might be plausible that Digi bungled a rebranding but still has the foundation for a career.

"I tried to revamp my content but lost old subs faster than I gained new ones. Also, Voidgazers took time away from KH!, which got cancelled because of drama from May's new boyfriend. I'm still getting some money from the old anime stuff and am cranking out vids but used up all my cash getting here."

This would not be all that far from the truth, and actually sounds fixable, it just leaves out all the shit Digi did to alienate his core audience.

Digi could also blame COVID to his parents on why he's 'in between' projects right now. This might buy him some time, at least until spring before his folks expect him to start applying for a night shift at McDonald's.

If he's as close to his mom as these discord posts from Ben/Munchy imply... I don't know if he's ever gonna get told to get a job. She sounds like the ultimate enabler.

Ben saint the last digi alog
Still, when reading Ben's Discord a-logs
Ben justifying his a-logging:

Or better yet, Ben, how about you promote your own work. Create something entertaining out of this drama (no more aborted podcasts, maybe something like a comic, you are a web cartoonist after all, apparently) and monetise it, instead of giving it away all for free on Twitter or paying out of your own pocket to convince Digi's dwindling fanbase to cancel their Patreon subscriptions (his remaining fans are willing to pay $7 for his Substack content, $2 won't cut it).

At least Dick Masterson profited from the Lolsuit from Maddox saga and still makes money a-logging him by selling t-shirts goofing on him. Make some t-shirts parodying Ygg Studio and/or Trixie. Make something and make money from it.

[EDIT]: also this maymay:

It's not "a right" Ben it's just pathetic.
What he means to say is that it's not against the law but I don't think Ben cares about the law unless it comes to free hand-outs. I wonder if there is anything more than a missing lecture that is stoking the flames here. Maybe Ben feels angry for what Digi did to his brother Nate and that I would say is justified but something Nate should be handle himself. Hes family though and I get the anger. Maybe Ben even warned Nate about this (seeing Ben lived with Digi before the weed it could only be worse now).

I agree on the pathetic part though. Rent free.

If I were a current Digi sub I would just take Ben's money and resub. There is no law against doing that either. Who is he trying to convince? A bunch of trannies, hopefuls and forgetful people?

It is really fucking weird that he's able to go to these extremes like paying people to stop supporting Digi, but won't do anything worthwhile with it. But even if he tried to, could he even make it entertaining? Aside from the lectures i don't think i've cared for a single video he's ever done. I've never checked his comics or his games. Honestly a Digibro lecture would be okay, specially from someone who knows him so well. I also don't know if he could do a podcast since the rest of the PCP don't want to do it, and Mumkey didn't want to either. Who knows who he would need to get in order to do so.

In every "trans" kid example I've seen, every single one, it's a mother encouraging it, and the father is either submissive to the mother or absent. I doubt there would be much of a "trans movement" at all if it wasn't for bored liberal white women.

I think that if a person reaches a certain age (probably younger than 30) without ever having consistent work, it's not going to happen. I haven't ever seen someone above that age end up living a productive life.

I used to watch a lot of SkepticTube when I was in high school, and even tho they would have the sporadic bad take, I thought they were pretty cool in general.

Cut to nowadays were all of them have lost their minds, turned into NPCs or trooned out, sometimes all 3 of these at the same time. Time is fucking rough man
Unexpectedly, Vee turned out to be the winner out of that crowd despite remaining a small youtuber. Saved his earnings, bought a house, actually met and married a cute eastern-orthodox country girl with big gypsy milkers.
