There's a term for those guys if I recall and it's a sandbagger and usually it's not that they are a blackbelt in the same discipline but rather something else that's similar to what they're pretending to not know. Examples would be a guy who's a black belt in say Judo or Tang Soo Do going into jiu jitsu or karate as a white belt you may not know the fine points but you've learned how to punch and kick and throw better than the grade schoolers you're matched up with.
