Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

No, they're in denial that Trump would've caused this catastrophe to become worse than it already is, HollywoodHulkHogan said so in the Biden Enslavement derangement Syndrome thread. They're that delusional.

Makes sense, it's not in the nature of disingenuous contrarians to admit they're wrong, and that their short-sighted votes have thoroughly debased and embarrassed this country. Same goes for Eurofags or foreigners running their mouths while their own cups runneth over with shit.

Donald Trump... is somber. Not a single word about Biden or how he’d do better.

This is serious.
The fact that the entire admin aren't even sad about all this - and are in fact smugly chuckling. While their astroturfing faggots are fervently in damage control, is really all that needs to be said.

They're not sorry people are dying, they're sorry people are dying under their rule

The next 24 hours are going to be very interesting. The odds of a coup are going up every dam minute.

This needs to spread like wildfire, but replace allies with american citizens.

I don't think the military as a whole has much respect for him, especially not after this.

I dunno, there were a few REMF fuckers I worked with who were still shilling his ass a month or so ago.

Don't know how they feel now. Most have been silent. The few who have spoken up have complained we should have never started withdrawing and stayed in Afghanistan forever. I wish I was kidding.

idk, Jocko Willink's plan sounded pretty good to me.
It's too dangerous now and would've turned the Airport situation into a disaster even sooner than it has now. The evacuation was doomed the moment Bagram was given up, it should have never been hastily abandoned the way it was until the evacuation was complete but it's too late to take it back now without straight up restarting the war in Afghanistan.

So what's standard PR procedure for the powers that be in the wake of a total disintegration of any illusion of imperial authority? Psaki or Joe or whoever comes out first is gonna have to admit that this is a massive fuckup.

After Suez, the British outright admitted they weren't what they once were. I don't really know what the Soviet press' spin was of their withdrawal of Afghanistan, so if anyone has that, that would be great.
Is acknowledging their precarious situation a smart move at this time? If not then I sort of understand the ostriching.
The difference is that with Suez the loss of British projection capacity was visible to the world and was a direct result of expending everything they did have. It wasnt a matter of being spent spiritually but they had been bankrupted of power and wealth.

On the inverse the US still has loads of resources, we still have one of the top militaries in the world (at least in terms of rank and file troops and equipment. Military leadership is a joke atm), and at this point we have more combat experience than most developed nations. With the right leaders in place the US is still primed to hold it's #1 spot in terms of sheer ability to deliver force across the globe. And we still have some spirit, though it's waning. But it's a clusterfuck because our leaders this time around are the worst type, equally incompetent and malicious. The question on everyone's mind right now is whether America will be able to maintain what edge we may have in resource and manpower capabilities long enough to outlast this current administration of idiots. Getting Kamala in as a direct successor to Joe will be worse than Ford/Nixon.

Nobody will be fired over this. MAYBE one or two token resignations straight into a cushy do-nothing advisory job.

People should becoming an heroes right now.

More troops died today than any day during his Presidency. He hated seeing the coffins of soldiers returning home, and regularly says so. It's why he made the original deal in the first place.

If Civil War 2: Electric Boogaloo wasn't happening before, it certainly could be now.
