Taliban offensive of 2021 and collapse of Afghan government.

Using federal troops to enforce desegregation at gunpoint is a good place to start.

You know a policy is popular when you need to enforce it at gunpoint. For a democracy is sure does undemocratic things.
fuck thats a great point, its even more hilarious when you remember the army being siced on the bonus army or striking workers. for fucks sake the military was sent out to quash the whiskey rebellion too, but at least there every politican that supported that got voted the fuck out. so since the FDR administration the army has been used to make sure democracy does what the left wants.

"We should have sent the people out very safely, and we would have had Bagram open. That was always going to be — we should have kept Bagram because Bagram is between China. It has total access to China, Iran, and Afghanistan. And I guess they didn't realize that they abandoned it," Trump told Lisa Boothe on her podcast, The Truth with Lisa Boothe.
Trump himself negotiated an agreement to pull U.S. troops out of Afghanistan as part of a deal cut with the Taliban. He insisted, "We would have had Bagram open because we always intended to keep it," even though he also said the military would have left the country following the evacuations.
Trump's own peace deal with "the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan which is not recognized by the United States as a state and is known as the Taliban" early last year (29 February 2020) meant that Bagram Air Base, among others, would have been abandoned by the US by 1 May 2021, according to Trump's own agreement with the Taliban: (https://www.state.gov/wp-content/up...r-Bringing-Peace-to-Afghanistan-02.29.20.pdf; archived: https://web.archive.org/web/2021082...or-Bringing-Peace-to-Afghanistan-02.29.20.pdf)

Is this how soviet citizens felt? The lies have become all pervasive at this point.
Most soviet citizens much like the chinese now didnt trust the state, their motto was "the state pretends to pay us and we pretend we work", the chinese also have a word for that but I forgot it. They also have one that's basically "good enough" but actually means "just do the bare minimum of work" which is why most chinese companies sell shoddy shit

But most yanks still believe in the government, they might not believe in the president or congress but they still believe in the government itself and their institutions, even tho all of those are staffed by unelected psychos who got there thru a spiderweb of nepotism and political favors. Then theres the private institutions who are the embodiment of "fuck you got mine" yet normies still listen to them

Pretty interesting to look back at this clip. Especially whn we were supplying the Afghanistani rebels with arms and training support. The Soviet Union asked for a ceasefire, and for us to stop supplying the rebels with munitions. George HW Bush refused. This was 32 years ago.
Did the Soviets stop supplying North Vietnam?

4 Marines killed
Now reporting 10 Marines

20 More Years!

They might try -- and I fully expect the architects of the Foreverwar to try, provided they aren't planning on sending us somewhere else -- but the national will isn't there anymore. Worse, the INTERNATIONAL will isn't there anymore. We won't be going back to Afghanistan unless they bring their manipulation A game.

What's this about the Americans giving the Taliban a list of Americans, green card holders, and Afghan allies?

Is this what competence looks like?
UK left documents with names as well in abandoned embassy...

Biden promising to hunt down Taliban. How is he gonna do that exactly? Isn't he withdrawing? He going back in now?

I know, I know, its empty rhetoric to try and SOUND like he's not weak and will do something.

"We will not forgive, we will not forget." but we will back down, so who cares if we'll forgive/forget or not?

Perhaps some airstrikes? Bombing armories and downing their leftover planes would be plausible with carrier support!

no, this is what citizens of the russian empire felt like, its 1915 buddy, We have the rest of the century to look forward to. These will be the days children will be nostalgic for compared to whats ahead.

The attack was done by ISIS, not the Taliban.

Pretty much any action taken against the Taliban at this point is just going to look like petty revenge over getting their asses handed to them. Almost the entire world now accepts the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan and Americam interventionism isn't the most popular thing at the moment.

All this so a pedo could have a photo op.
Remember when they gave Bush Jr shit for years because he stopped a ship to land on it and do a Mission Accomplished photo op, making the troops an hour or two late getting home? Or when they were literally caught setting up water stations in Katrina just long enough for a photo op, then tearing them down?

At least Bush Jr's photo ops didn't get tens of thousands of Americans and Allied forces killed.

13 US service members killed. Unlucky for some.

90 Afghanis.

Over a hundred dead, so far. Probably a few more aren't going to make it to morning with the kind of injuries they sustained.

President Joe Biden says the US airlift from Kabul will continue despite a jihadist attack that killed over 60 people including 13 US service members.

'We will make you pay': Emotional Biden vows to 'hunt down' ISIS-K for double suicide bomb attack that killed 13 US troops and 90 Afghans.
