Based on what? Anecdotal evidence?
Also,
There isn't enough evidence to suggest that Ivermectin is good at treating or preventing infection. In fact, it's even stated that to get the results you're looking for would require administration much higher than what's approved for humans.
But what do I know?
So far there have been around 60 separate studies involving a minimum of 20,000 people, the vast majority of which have come to the conclusion that Ivermectin is effective against Covid-19.
Here's
1. 2.
3.
4.
5.
6.
7 articles and papers saying Ivermectin is effective against Covid-19. Even the studies that advise against using it
still say it kills the virus. This is a single page of one google search that gives you thousands and thousands of results.
How much more proof do you need, exactly? Japan has authorized its usage. Various other countries are using it. It
already is used as a common treatment in humans for various conditions.
The only possible argument you can make against using ivermectin is that people are self-medicating and getting sick from it. But as Louis Rossman would say, that's the premise of an asshole, and I don't accept it. So the burden of proof is on you now;
1) Show me how many cases of people dying from ivermectin overdose have occured so far.
2) Link me to
any verifiable news article which states somebody was hospitalized after being proscribed ivermectin.
Proscribed that is, not 'drank a gallon he got from a pet store'.
3) Link me to
any study that says ivermectin made for a
worse outcome in Covid patients, as opposed to either have no effect or improving their outcomes.
Additionally, you say that because people are being poisoned by hazardous use of ivermectin, ivermectin should be banned. The only reason people are being poisoned by it
is because they aren't being allowed to purchase it as a proper proscription, due to the CDC scaring doctors into refusing requests for it.
