Other noteworthy thing: Someone said he can play Lost Judgement if he plays extra. He said he will look into it. What happened with him complaining that everybody should play the game the same time? I guess it only applies if he would start playing it late.

Watching Phil try and facetank his way through the Divide is like Chinese water-torture. Everytime he dies he's shocked that just wailing on end-level enemies isn't an instant win, he misses the culmination of the entire storyline of DLCs because it's boring to him and he just bumbles into the same predicaments again and again like a fly trying to get througha window. Phil being shitty at games isn't anything new but even I'm astounded by just how incapable he is of a) understanding the idea of not standing in front of an enemy to avoid damage and b) mister 'bugsnax is a narrative masterpeice' just ignoring one of the better RPG storylines because it's far above his IQ level.

Well that's what happens when you have a Death Star-sized ego and the possibility of you losing fair and square doesn't exist in your own mind.

Pigroach isn't touching KoF because he may be oblivious to certain things, but he does have a sharp eye for when a game is likely to embarrass him, and he especially watches out for when it'll also be a fighting game (he gets pissed the most with losing at those), and a good time for detractors. An SNK game checks off all three marks. It's too fast for him, he doesn't play them to begin with, and when he dodges even something as casual-friendly as GG Strive, you know he knows how outclassed he is.

It's not even his love of the genre that's the problem, it's that he has an unhealthy amount of pride coupled with a contradicting unhealthy amount of laziness. I haven't touched fighting games in 20 years, and could probably still whoop on him even in ST after a couple of months of hard training, simply because I would actually apply myself and am willing to adapt. He refuses to do either, but also refuses to let go of his insistence on always winning. Which is something he does everywhere else in his life, too.

On the plus side, look at the difference in his tips versus popular streamers who never do that kind of thing. His awful personality may not have killed his ability to make any money, but it has certainly still cost him a lot. He has wasted a possible $100k on WWE Champions, well if he had been smarter he could be one of the top whales in that game right now, easily. You think that doesn't hurt his feelings? I haven't seen him clear a run yet, but I have only watched a TIHYDP someone made of some attempts. The last I heard was he died at the start of phase 2 Hades so no clear yet.

The farthest he's gotten was bringing Hades' 1st form to a sliver of health. He brainlessly facetanks everything and plays at a snail's pace. It's quite painful to watch.

Phil only plays roguelikes like Hades because there's lots of text narrative he can sit through. And then he must go through every single part of his build to start every stream, and meticulously narrate and review every upgrade option he gets (that he doesn't understand nor utilize).

I really don't understand why Phil keeps doing this to himself. He hates having to do anything with gaming. Just stream your mobile gacha games, Phil.
