Damn, "Webby-Chattam????" (really not sure what that name is) didnt get a glitchy piggy back ride but only a promise for a carrot cake and maybe a turkey or two "like the rich people have."Wogglebug gives a girl a glitchy piggyback ride alone in a forest and can't wait to eat a baked potato with her for her birthday.
...and at the end Wogglebug is laughing about the kid being poor.maybe a turkey or two "like the rich people have."
Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great KF lolcow thread Wogglebug is in on tonight. Go and read it. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Wogglebug."I would love to be listening to the voice actor's inner thoughts as he says this stuff.
I'm under impression her software is very basic and easy to use (something along the lines of DAZ Studio). No way she modeled and animated Woggy herself - she probably just drops some pre-made models in a scene and makes them run some basic animations that came in the package (just notice the lack of idle animations - characters either talk or stand like statues). Even rendering seems to be pretty basic - the "movies" look like in-game cutscenes from a late 90s games with low-res textures and no shadows. Also the lack of progress in Cynthia's skills confuses me. I once downloaded Blender for fun, fucked in it for 2 hours and made this tutorial donut with animations, and it looked 1000x better then Wogglebug movies. Actually, look up blender tutorial donuts. They are all made by beginners who made them like in a couple of hours using free software. And then compare it to this thread. Yeah.
If before Cynthia was half-assing it then this is her using her whole ass. Everything is clipping through everything else. At one point it looks like he's eating the girl's head. And that's after she flashes him.Wogglebug gives a girl a glitchy piggyback ride alone in a forest and can't wait to eat a baked potato with her for her birthday.
So.. only rich people have turkey? How pathetically poor do you have to be to not be able to afford turkey? I know I'm overthinking this but there are times that Cynthia makes my head hurt with how stupid she is...turkey or two "like the rich people have."
I'd say she just doesn't know what she's doing and she's not interested in learning. It's all about getting the Wogglebug out there and once he's well known then others will do all the hard work for her and she'll just sit back and collect all the royalties. At least that's what I think she's going for. I honestly don't understand what her endgame is.I'm under impression her software is very basic and easy to use (something along the lines of DAZ Studio). I doubt money is the end goal here. Looking at the way she describes her work and her MO I'd say the main objective is to get the underdog Woggy some love and popularity. Secondary objective is to get Cynthia some asspats for introducing Woggy to a wide and grateful audience. Money is just means to those ends.I'd say she just doesn't know what she's doing and she's not interested in learning. It astounds me that she doesn't create her own character.I doubt money is the end goal here. I think it's like a celebrity crush but with a fictional character so she can also indulge some kind of savior complex for the object of her affection. You could argue that Wogglebug is so obscure that she could've used him as the foundation/inspiration for an OG character, just change a couple of things and keep the spirit intact.
I think the main problem here is that Cynthia's representation of the character lacks any kind of identity, personality or arc. After watching a lot of the materials I get that he's:PL, but I'm a hobbyist storyteller. If I go waaay back in the recesses of my memory, I think quite a few of my characters were directly inspired by characters in games/movies I liked, except I started doing this when I was eight-years-old and over time, your characters take on identities of their own, so much so that they become unrecognizable from what initially inspired them.
Of course. You were eight. It's understandable that your totally original do not steal character was a version of Wolverine except instead of metal claws coming out the back of his hands, he had real claws.... coming out the back of his hands. Cynthia however just has the mind of an eight year old. And that eight year old wants it back.PL, but I'm a hobbyist storyteller. The problem is that everybody says he's smart but he never actually displays anything that is actually smart. The issue is to write a smart character you yourself need to be smart. And if there's a word that describes Cynthia, "smart" is not one of them.Pretty much neither of those traits play any role in any of the stories and the character doesn't grow in any way. Cynthia's getting close to giving him some arc based on the intellectual aspect where he appears to be... not as smart as he is (his interactions with king's council and the mocking trees) but then those (very accurate) points are simply discarded and the audience is told that Woggy is as smart as he thinks and everybody should love him unquestionably. This would be an interesting arc where Woggy learns some humility and acceptance of other points of view and would be fitting with the original iteration of the character, who was all about big words and titles, not actually an intellectual.
Yeah I'm thinking there's more to that than meets the eye.Third place is the Great Nerf Gun Building Tournament?
Well, this does seem like a pretty typical third place prize.
