Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I hope he does the same as with afghanistan and just sleeps trough it while hundreds just drown to their deaths while the military has no orders and colonels just go "fuck it i'll do it myself" to mount rescue efforts

I mean incompetent military leadership is one thing - it was honestly a HUGE mistake to use Washington as the model president and merge commander in chief with the executive branch; I personally think that commander in chief should be a separate position, elected into office but restricted to former military officers, and ultimately subservient to congress - but an act of God? Hitting DIRECTLY into the below sea level bussy of New Orleans?

This really isn't that big a deal guys, there is time to prepare. I hear the army corps of engineers has determined that New Orleans can hold out against Hurricane Ida for 90 days. We'll have plenty of time to get those Louisiana citizens out of harms way.
