General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

Hmm.. Pippas stream ending just as Jim's first stream in 18 month starts.. nice timing =P
Yeah, it's not even a 'nice timing' thing, she flat-out said multiple times that she "has an ice-cream social to attend to." It isn't a secret

Jim best girl confirmed.

About Sana and EN2:

Honestly, numbers have never been a signifier of streamer quality and we figure that out basically every day. Hololive got their lucky break and even if Sana did get the short end of the stick with bad reveal key art and getting DP'd by the algorithm 6 times, she's still raking in more views and money than anyone other than fellow Holomen and the upper echelons of NijiJP could only dream of.

Holo has skewed the concept of 'success' in this industry so much that we will look at her get $4K in superchats, 10K viewers, and over 100K subs in a few days and ask why she isn't so popular. It's really wild to me.

But if you want my answer:
Check this very thread as she was debuting, and how many people thought she was British. That should tell you all you need to know about how accustomed to her accent the majority of her prospective viewers are. That's not accusing or throwing shade at you guys btw but it is an idea on the wider NA audiences' general lack of exposure to - and subsequent avoidance of - anything that they aren't acclimated with. Through no fault of her own, she's a living, breathing filter of her branches' core audience.

Sana was the slowest to grow, which means people picking and choosing who to give a shot will psychologically believe her to be the weakest member and therefore maintain the gap, and her stream slots are horrendous. It's nothing to do with quality, as 18K watched Mumei spend 50 minutes digging a hole, waiting for the next cute noise she'd make.

I'm sure we all have an idea in our head as to where we want our favourite streamers to be numerically, but to put it into perspective, Pomu Rainpuff has 150K subs and averages 1-2.4K viewers. She made $13-20K on voice packs alone and like $10K in SCs. Sana is gonna be JUST fine, stride or no.

In a few years, this thread will probably be sent to spergatory, and the girls will most likely have grown up in a better financial situation than their peers. Maybe the Vtuber community will be oversaturated to the point where people treat it as another YouTuber gamer phenomenon - ultimately, nothing special to get this excited over and in fact, as generic and boring as actual moe-type anime. Anyway.

It'll likely be overstaturated. Still I'd be wondering what the girls would be up after graduating. They'll probably still make content outside if vtubing, but still. It won't be long before it gets oversaturated like other youtube trends like story time animations and creepypasta story telling.

The Hololive Error 360 videos really showcase some of the girls' VA skills. I'm suspecting people like Nene is part of the people that took up the seiyuu lessons Mio once mentioned. Also, that ending bruv

I didn't see that, I just took it as a "You can apply...we won't read it but you can apply." when applications started.

Dakooters is a shitposter, she's just a trans one. Here's a sample of her response to a question about being called a guy on twitter during an AMA.

"That's why I go by girl (male) instead." :story:

I don't know much about this person, but seems to me they're "one of the good ones."

Hana has talked time about liking girls before. Not yuri bating stuff, but things like "make sure you know they like girls as well before you ask one out" and more sort of boring realities. Ollie wouldn't surprise me if bi.
I've watched a lot of Hana, I'm 99% sure she's actually a lesbian and not just yuribaiting. She's also been talking a lot lately about being lonely, and I recall she got rejected by someone she thought was gay but was actually joking around. My personal rrat is that this person is her genmate Zea, since they do joke around like this often, but I'm probably wrong.

I don't know where in Indonesia she lives, but I hope for her sake it's in one of the islands that isn't an islamic theocracy roleplaying as a secular state. For all that Twitter loves to screech about how true islam is tolerant, go out into the real world and they're perfectly fine with pushing the gays off of rooftops, stoning them to death, setting them on fire, etc.
