The ones I know are an odd kind of furious. It is not quite seething but there is a real anger there that they are still processing and it was a little unnerving at a birthday party for an old vet I went to tonight. There were multiple generations of veterans there and it was...odd. Usually they talk about their service but tonight it was just fucking quiet.

Then not only don't I have any educated guesses, but thinking about it at all won't be possible. I understand the words in those sentences individually. But you put them all together like that, you get across the idea that an American president isn't doing everything in his power to evacuate people in harm's way and getting soldiers killed for nothing, and it just stops making any sort of sense.
