Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

Disgusted. For many vets, we'd seen it all before, Saigon in 1975. Ford was hamstrung by Congress, which wouldn't authorize any further assistance to South Vietnam. Everyone was just tired of Vietnam and wanted it over. We took in a lot of Vietnamese refugees, many of who have done quite well in life. In Afghanistan, deal was made but Biden welshed on it. Would Afghanistan have crumpled anyway? Likely, but believe the collapse might have been a little slower. Would have been more time to get Americans and certain Afghanis out of the country.

In 1975, you could easily believe President Ford was competent and could handle the country's affairs. Nobody blamed him, he came in at the very end. This time, Biden is not competent to handle the country's affairs. Arguably that's been the case since he came into office. His Vice-President doesn't seem to want to do the job, and her competence is minimal at best.

Sure does eat shit, doesn't it.

IIRC that Iranian general was up to ops against the US embassy in Baghdad and droning him put a sudden stop to it. All of the 'protests' and shit dried up overnight.

If there's another bombing in Kabul then this mastermind was master of nothing and they either killed someone unrelated or (more likely) just blew a hole in the ground.

Then not only don't I have any educated guesses, but thinking about it at all won't be possible. I understand the words in those sentences individually. But you put them all together like that, you get across the idea that an American president isn't doing everything in his power to evacuate people in harm's way and getting soldiers killed for nothing, and it just stops making any sort of sense.

there is nothing logical happening. 'shooting yourself in the foot' is quite literally what's happening. Imagine walking down the street and seeing someone who looks perfectly normal begin acting erratic then suddenly commit suicide.

Its like the movie 'The Happening' but with the US Military.

I never understood the hate she got. I was way too young to underetand politics back in the 2000's, but i remember in some shows I watched there were jabs at palin. I wasn't aware of the murderous hatred she received since I've grown used to the hate trump gets from psychotic lefties.

At the time, she garnered more interest than McCain himself. Everyone thought he was too old and likely to die, so people laser-focused on Palin. Now, I think it really was just a media smear job that worked.
