Culture California teacher boasts not having American flag, tells students to pledge allegiance to gay pride flag - The school district is now investigating the incident

A California school district is investigating a teacher after she posted a video admitting that she encouraged her students to pledge allegiance to a gay pride flag after she removed the American flag from her classroom.

"Okay, so during third period, we have announcements and they do the pledge of allegiance," the teacher, identified as Kristin Pitzen of Newport Mesa School District in Orange County, said in a video posted to social media. "I always tell my class, stand if you feel like it, don’t stand if you feel like it, say the words if you want, you don’t have to say the words."

"So, my class decided to stand but not say the words. Totally fine," she continued in the now-viral video.

"Except for the fact that my room does not have a flag," she said, explaining that she removed the flag during the pandemic and then whispered to the camera, "because it made me uncomfortable."

She went on to say that one of her students asked where they should look during the pledge of allegiance since there is no American flag in the classroom.

"In the meantime, I tell this kid, ‘We do have a flag in the class that you can pledge your allegiance to. And he like, looks around and goes, ‘Oh, that one?'" and points to the pride flag.

The Newport Mesa School District told Fox News on Saturday that the incident is under investigation, but could not provide more details as it does not "discuss employee related matters."

"We are aware of this incident and are investigating. While we do not discuss employee related matters, we can tell you that showing respect and honor for our nation’s flag is a value that we instill in our students and an expectation of our employees. We take matters like this seriously and will be taking action to address it," public relations officer for the district, Annette Franco, told Fox News.

The video has meanwhile garnered backlash on social media, including from former acting director of national intelligence Ric Grenell.

"What kind of parent would allow their child to be taught by this wacko? Why are parents turning their kids over to someone they don’t know? I’d like to talk to people who think this is good?!?" Grenell wrote on Twitter, accompanied by the video.

I will never knowingly hire anyone who posts on TikTok, and probably think really hard about anyone who admits to watching it.

This shit is anti-social media. No society can function for long when the lowest common denominator feels 'comfortable', to use one of their favored words, showing their asses to everyone without fear of reprisal.

Not even faggots would want people to pledge allegiance to that flag. Not even troons - because it's not the troon flag. No one sensible likes that flag, which is why so many basic assholes love it - it's pure performative wokeness.

That flag is the latinx of flags.

The school district won't do anything. They've actively been pushing CRT. Parents have been pissed off about this crap for the last couple years. They continue to ignore them and keep doing it anyway because they think they know what's best for the kids better than their own parents.

2019: District officials created a human relations task force after an anti-semitic incident, referred to as a “red cup swastika party,” occurred off campus involving students. The district first started contracting with the Anti-Defamation League to provide staff and some high school students with anti-bias training.

2020: Trainings at other district schools were postponed due to the pandemic.

July 2021: The ADL contract expired and its renewal was postponed in response to outrage from parents and Newport's Republican Women league who opposed teaching critical race theory in the classroom and also taking time away from academic subjects students are behind in after a year of distance learning.

August 2021: The district modified the ADL contract, eliminating "advanced" training for employees but keeping all other training--Continuing training for employees and students at high schools and expanding into middle schools this year. They plan to survey district staff to see if there's interest in bringing back advanced training next year.

Parents are also butting heads with the district over mask requirements and have been demonstrating at meetings. The district hasn't budged on their policy.

That's actually been happening across the country. School districts are just now starting to feel the effects.
They're going to invent fake kids to fluff their numbers. Oops, I mean they're going to Fortify the Public School Funding.

They continue to ignore them and keep doing it anyway because they think they know what's best for the kids better than their own parents.
Leftists don't have kids - they have yours.

OF COURSE IT'S AN ENGLISH TEACHER LOOOOOOOOOOL
English teachers are a blight on all mankind. They're all liberal women high on their own farts. Well, okay, I had two good ones, one elderly one who was a long-term sub after retiring (still kinda high, but at least she taught some good books like Invisible Man and Confederacy of Dunces), and another in college who taught Les Miserables for the whole course and let me vomit out nonsense for the easiest A ever, but aside from those, terrible.

I'm never going to get over how hideous that flag is. The pastels and brown clash with the bright primary colours, and the stripes going the different directions is just jarring and hard on the eye. If a graphic designer I hired came up with that, I'd sack him and demand my money back.
It still makes for a perfect analogy of how shoehorned in trannies and race is into the general lgb 'community' preceding it.

The only way to fight this is to pull kids from public schools. They get funding based on the number of students they have in class. If enough parents tell the schools that this is the reason they are going to home school or put their kids into a private school, they will have no choice but to make some changes.

Sending an angry email to a principal who will claim to "handle" it but instead just quietly let it slide won't do anything. If they don't fire the teacher, parents should take action. They won't, though, and this is why nothing will actually change.
Pulling kids doesn't work, because schools get their funding in blocks and will break district rules when necessary to cover any sort of drop in enrollment by turning a blind eye towards kids from out of the district being transferred in, whenever said funding block is renewed.

Going public and making a scene is the only way to fix shit, as far as parents making lives living hell for shit teachers and administrators.
