I also think Shannon was the friend who let Chantal join in on the Dominican Republic trip that got cancelled due to Covid. IIRC, Chantal began the discussion by saying that she asked if she could go too and the friend was a bit hesitant, worrying that Chantal might not know enough of the women who were going on the trip. Chantal interpreted that as her friend looking out for her, when really it was her friend gently trying to let Chantal know that basically all the women going on the trip weighed a third of Chantal and could walk a hundred yards without calling paramedics for emergency oxygen, could hold a conversation without shrieking non sequiturs, wouldn’t want to be filmed all the time,and all probably hated Chantal anyway. When Chantal didn’t take the hint, the friend relented and said Chantal could go. I really do think Shannon was that friend.
Shannon has some trashy cunt tendencies but she’s looked out for Chantal before. In the infamous St Patrick’s Day party, Shannon was pretty much the only person willing to interact with Chantal while she shoved a camera in their faces, while her maLe companion looked at Chantal with unfeigned annoyance and disgust. Chantal will never learn what side her bread is buttered on. She’ll piss all over Peetz and Shannon so she can rush to get beaten by a dude who forces her to pay his rent then tosses her out in the middle of the night.
I’ve really enjoyed the Shannon/FFG arc. Apoplectic and financially self-destructive Chantal is best Chantal. I hope we get a few more meltdowns before Nader stabs her when she can’t cover his September rent.
