Diseased TV Tropes community

While I do enjoy reading TV Tropes, I can't really deny that the site has a multitude of problems when it comes to the users. Just compare the detail that they've put into the character sheet for the Silmarillion (an epic revolving around the creation myth of a world, the rise and fall of a great kingdom and much more):

And the character sheet for ONE character in a show about technicolor ponies that are meant to sell toys:

Hell, let's compare the main trope pages. The MLP one has MULTIPLE SUBPAGES for one fucking show. It's not a trilogy like LOTR or even Mass Effect.

Its fans are incredibly autistic, so there you are.

And most of the tropes, incidentally, are them reading stuff into the show - seeing depth where there is none.

To be fair though, the Silmarillion sort of shows the whole story from a distance, like a summary while the degenerate pony hour is much more dense content-wise.

WMG is a part of TVTropes I've never been in, that I know of.

Now I know why.
Also on the Poison Oak page:
Asexuals really ARE Gods, and they're going to get payback.
In time, all asexuals will discover godly powers that they have, and decide to use them. Obviously not a bad thing FOR the asexuals, but a lot of other people will get really mad about it.

The Asexuals will eventually get fed up with how mad everyone is about their godly powers, and initiate attack. However, they will spare all other queer people, and the other queers who often aren't thought to even exist will rise to their level, being given gifts.

Eventually, everyone who isn't queer will be gone, and after that the gods will start to get bored of the other queer people, so they'll all get vaporized. And then they'll have a battle until there's only one person left.

After the person wins the battle, they too will become bored of being the only life form on Earth, and will go to every planet ever until they discover some more.

The species' asexual members will, after thousands of years, discover that they have godly powers. Rinse and repeat.

Also, there's no way for anyone to prove me wrong, because time travel doesn't exist yet.
How does one acquire these asexual powers? If I'm voluntarily celibate, can I have them? If an asexual's raped, do they lose them?

The only time I really use TV Tropes is for when I want to look for games that might be similar to something I like or the Awesome Music just to look for some cool music. The only page I really liked to read a long time ago was the So Bad It's Horrible Pages which is where I learned about the masterpiece know as Sonichu which introduced me to the Legend we all know and love and in a way lead me to this place.

I always avoided going to YMMV pages becasue of how sperg infested they are and WMG was a big NO, but I never read the forums because of how shitty they looked so I never learned about TV Trope's dirty rotten underbelly until I read the SA thread and learned about all the sick fucks and how OCD Autists weren't TV Tropes only problem. After that I barely read TV Tropes and when ever do I always feel dirty, like I just got out of a disgusting public restroom.

We might think the TroperTales is just sad and hilarious but there were also some straight up horrorcows as well. As demonstrated by this young gentleman right here.

Yes, let's not only punish your crush, who's only crime was not wanting to go out with you, but also her sister and her sister's unborn child, who probably had nothing to do with your crazy ass. Also I love "Yeah, he knows how to abort a baby." What an edgelord.

For the record, I do think TV Tropes is a fun website that's also a good time waster. But the spegier the fandom is (Like Steven Universe, Legend of Korra, and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) the spegier their TV Trope page is gonna be. Other forms of media with not so crazy fanbases tend to have more normal and less biased pages.

Don't forget, those fandoms also binge-watch the series while editing every single trope they see, or think they see. For instance, try finding a single big trope page without SU, LOK, or MLP.
