This all began when Reddit mods spammed an anti-anti-vax copypasta in every popular Reddit, including porn Reddits like "hypnosis porn" and "women bending over" (NSFW for both).

It was later discovered that this effective spamming was coordinated by Reddit mods in a Discord specifically for Reddit mods.

A Reddit admin stepped in and deleted the mods' hysteria, spurring the mods to call the admins "dictators" and "tyrants" because they won't let them censor and ban people who disagree with them on their spam messages.

It is also very possible that Merari himself is a tranny, which is why he takes offence. Just my theory.
I doubt that these jannies even know that a world outside reddit and the internet exists. They view the outside through redditors' experiences and links hence the hostility towards the wrong think. Knowing that some of these jannies with 100s of subreddits to moderate makes it even more possible.
