General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

The game seems like a great trip and interesting.
Too bad the plot is so weird and confusing. There were too many twists. Like the last ending, so she had an affair? So like the kid isn't her brother's or, I mean that's still not that much better. At least the way the story was presented is cool, even though the story itself isn't.
The thing is the game has a case of Unreliable narrator because all of this is on the protagonist head, he is imagining all the scenarios that will happen if he follow the path he wants to do, he also is somehow aware of this that is why telling his wife about the time loops is a option

I've been waiting for the first running joke/meme of Council. Looks like it's Fauna Slap God ("I'm beginning to feel like a Slap God, Slap God...").

Council came packaged with a couple of running jokes - Kronii copter and Beeg Sana - which were kind of like Kiara Chicken. But I was waiting for the first unexpected one, like Kiara Bottom Left, Calli Dad, and everyone's favorite, Amelia Ground Pounds your Mom.

Does Ina have one? *shrug*

Could be wrong, tho. Maybe Slap God will be forgotten in a week.
No idea if people will be interested in drawing them. I do see a spike in people drawing Kronii, though.

Did Youtube reduce membership fee?
As far as I know, membership prices and tiers/perks are set by the channel. But it's possible something could have changed in Youtube's conversion to whatever your local currency is.

It seems like $5 is settled as the "standard" for a VTuber membership, but it's possible to be higher or lower, and it surprises me that more indies/small corpos haven't been experimenting to see if there's something more optimal for them.
Before Beatani jumped the shark (for me at least), she had a $2 tier but made fun of people for joining that as opposed to the normal $5 tier. It was a good system that I guess would only work for kusogaki archetypes lol.

Also, shout out to actual angel Tokino Sora, who didn't have Youtube membership for the longest time because she didn't want to double-charge her fans on both Nico and Youtube. People wanted the green name in chat though (IIRC), so she eventually opened membership at $3/mo with no higher tiers.

Selen's revealed her Apex collab, this week it's Pochi-sensei and a JP-Thai Vtuber called Qualia Qu, who's participated in a few Hal tournaments in the past and tied first on top of having the most kills in one of his Vtuber-based ones. Some sort of connection to that JP lobby, possibly but probably not?

Such divinity, i kneel, i still remember when she leaked her Steam friend list by accident and was just Holostars, the usual wolf warriors were in plan AJA GOTCHA but everyone was "oh is just the guys who cares"

I was checking on Irys' membership fee earlier today and it was at $2.49 and now it's at $4.99. The same with Calli and Pippa

CR Cup is at the end of next month, so it's possible. Though based on the way Selen worded her post, it seems only Pochi was scheduled and Qu-chan - who is a friend of Pochi - tagged along.

She's also a non-JP Predator rank, so if they are together in CR Cup their team could easily be VERY broken.

BTW, forgive my ignorance but I know nothing about Pokemon. I've seen a lot of people say Fauna's play style in the game is "toxic". How's that? I thought the whole point of pokemon was to beat up other people's creatures.

You're gonna need to be a bit more specific because to a zoomer, "toxic" is code for "mean guy told me mean things" and beyond. Bully at school? toxic. Child rapist? toxic. Office asshole who thinks he's funny? toxic. Douche boyfriend? toxic.

According to pokemon move wiki, "toxic" is a move that drains your hp turn after turn, until your guy passes out or you heal somehow.

It's things like this:
Even being cheerful she's bloody toxic and she's playing my main Snorlax?

If she can maintain that voice while doing the most abhorrent and toxic shit in games, she'll be a winner.

...and the Fauna clips that say she's "bullying kids". I just don't see what people are talking about. It just looks like she's playing the game. But again I know nothing about Pokemon or mobile games.

EDIT: Not that I'm complaining, I'd just like to get in on the joke.

She's trying to be nice to the enemy teams, but it comes off the wrong way both because of what she says and how hard she's breaking their faces. There's also just a negative connotation to a lot of what anyone is gonna say in her position, because there's a common perception on MOBA players, not unjustified mind you.

Edit: Like when she's fighting that one enemy and a Talonflame comes in, she says it's so nice. On the surface, it's fine and genuine, but intended or not there's a level of smug superiority because she's a grown woman beating up possibly two children like it's a chore.

As someone who used to play a shit tonne of Dota 2 and dabbled in a few other mobas. What they probably mean is the way is she playing and her playstyle is because she has experience in mobas and once you understand the mechanics of one, you can pick other mobas much quicker.

So in her case, she was being "toxic" because she was absolutely shitting on the other team without even trying because she has knowledge of how they work now from the get go but sometimes you don't even realise your doing it because your going off what you know from other games. It the same case in other mobas where you create a fresh account, shit on the noobs who are learning just because you can. That what they probably mean.

For a bit more of insight in case you was curious, Fauna said she also used to play Dota 2 now, it is regarded as one of the hardest mobas to learn now (we are not starting any comparisons of mobas here) its takes you MANY hours to even feel like your getting a grip of the game. You have to learn ALL the Heros, ALL the items, ALL the mechanics it is incredibly overwhelming at first. It personally took me like 300-500 hours where I was content with knowing a baseline of everything in the game, and knew generally all the counters to what is what now. I did rack up over 3000 hours in the game before I had enough and stopped playing but your always learning something new even after that many hours now.

Fauna mentioned she mained "Wtich Doctor" which is I would say is in the top 5 of easiest hero's to play now, but you would still have to learn how to play support and laning and everything like that. So yeah from what I know about Pokemon Unite it is a very easy Moba to pick up and if someone who has learned Lol or Dota, is going to have an absolute cakewalk of an experience and pick it all up in probably under an hour compared to someone who never played a moba and is going to need a good few play sessions to get the basics down.

Also considering Pokemon Unite was designed to have kids playing in mind it really dose feel like your beating up lots of kids for the fun of it now. It a odd sensation to see myself but I can see the satisfaction. Wont get me touching any more mobas though, I'm done done with them now.

For the record, here are the results of the after-party scramble match after one of the Hal tournaments, where she got scrambled into a team with Kanae and Tsubaki. TL;DW: They wiped out nearly half of the entire lobby, to the point even Hal was shocked. It's probably safe to stay that if her and Selen were to team, get a fitting third person and participate in a tournament, they could be fucking terrifying.

That is the point of the game, nothing she's done in the game is toxic whatsoever. Toxic in this context only applies if you're communicating with the people that are supposedly affected, like when you flame people in the chat if there is one. Being good at a game does not classify as toxic, its the job of the matchmaking system to realise this and adjust who you play against. Just because a lot of kids play a game doesn't mean you have to handicap your gameplay, you'll get moved up automatically.

For example, I was playing the game and someone on the enemy team added me after I won and was using every curse word (read: fat pig) available in their 14 y/o brain. Yes this actually happened to me in a Pokémon MOBA and yes it was one of the highlights of the entire experience. That kid was "toxic".

This is just standard clickbait by clippers etc. because "Fauna is TOXIC and BULLIES KIDS in Pokémon game" catches the eye more than "Fauna has a fun time playing Pokémon game". Another aspect is some of the teams she was playing against were 100% bots, she just never checked.

As a side note: if anyone hasn't decided if they like Faunas content yet, the Pokémon stream and the current Minecraft stream both show her positives as a streamer really well, even if you just listen in the background.
