Semi-related unpopular take: On one hand, "office" culture is overrated. On another hand - I'd really like to delineate between work and home and since this WFH push, my shit's all fucked up and I'm literally losing days because everything blends into one.
I'd like to return to my actual cagie, so that I know what is cagie and what is my own space.

ok but i've wanted to work from home since i was a kid. back when i was circa 9 years old my aspiration in life was to live in a cabin in the woods with a computer and i'd make flash animations/games for a living

It's that time again. *sigh*

Another day, another variant

But is it justified and ancient?

Mu variant doesn't have the proper mutation to effect people infected with Delta....it does however effected vaccinated people a little differently than those who have gotten over the virus without the vaccine. This pandemic is fixing to end if nature doesn't throw something new out...Delta just getting around quick

Gonna post some milk so it can ferment into a fine cheese.

Ah so it doesn't fail 80% of the time, just 50% of the time. Glad to know! Thanks Snopes! This definitely makes me want to take an experimental drug that most likely has disastrous side effects to my long term health!

Stoke the fires. The only to get shit done apparently. https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/20...using-covid-jab-recuses-case-public-backlash/

As previously reported, Rebecca Firlit, a Chicago mother, said that a Cook County judge took away her parental rights for not getting the COVID vaccine – the judge then reversed the order after his decision garnered media attention.

The 39-year-old mother said that the Illinois judge asked her whether or not she had gotten the COVID vaccine during an August 10 hearing.

She responded by saying that she had not due to prior bad reactions with vaccines.

Cook County Judge James Shapiro then stripped the mother of all her parenting time with her son.

According to Annete Fernholz, the attorney for Rebecca Firlit, the father did not even bring this issue before the court.

Now this…

Judge Shapiro recused himself from the case on Tuesday after public backlash.

“Although I believe I can be fair and impartial, the Canons of Judicial Ethics speak to the perception of fairness and impartiality as well as fairness and impartiality itself,” Cook County Judge James Shapiro said in a statement, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

“Public perception may be that I can’t be fair and impartial. Therefore, I am going to recuse myself from further proceedings in this case,” he continued.

Are you working from a room that you use only for work purposes? If you're not already, and if you have the space for it, it helped me massively having a room that I'd only ever go into when it was work-time (save for when cleaning).

If you already are, then are you getting out the house much, during breaks, lunch, evenings, days off? The feeling that days blending into one could just be because you're doing the same thing over and over again; there's no need for you to remember the same thing distinctively each time, so you simply just don't. Your memories of days and thus time blend together as a result. But if you do different, varied things each day, you'll remember them better, and so your perception of time shall be better too.

If you're already doing all of that, though, sorry, sucks to be you.

Coronaviruses and Influenza viruses can co-infect the same host.
Here is just one case study (of 3 confirmed patients), but I can dredge up more if need be:

This is why we don't listen to what NYT has to say beyond "lol look what shit NYT is trying to push"...

The "no flu cases" myth has more to do with the "no prescriptions of Tamiflu" & "none of these viral pneumonia cases are influenza!" (supposedly), than it does actual eradication of at least 3 species of influenza from masks and social distancing.
One more thing, that NYT article (I know I know) also says that 1.3 million tests were run looking for other flu strains but they were all negative, which is why they think the flu disappeared.

EDIT - also yeah, I'd like to see more of these case studies (or link me if you already posted about this in the thread), thanks.
