I don't think he even watched Attack on Titan. He just saw that a bunch of people were making parodies of the popular image for it and decided to make a shitty pun. He might be tempted to watch it if he finds out that there's a canon lesbian couple.I know hes a fan of attack on titan which surprises me considering the shows love of brutally offing characters.
what the fuck is he talking about? Who the fuck it is the reactionaries? Some profoundly backwards logic from our blue bear

That's all he really cares about.
Yeah, the creators confirmed that it's canon. It gets pretty obvious in the later chapters of the manga.Ive never noticed a lesbian couple unless Ymir and "princess" count (only ever watched the show, i would read the manga but am happy waiting for the new season).
That's exactly what he's saying: he should be allowed to criticize something without anyone showing up and arguing with him, even if his criticisms are completely biased and uninformed. And "let criticism off the hook"? What is that supposed to mean? It sounds like he's expecting to be able to criticize something without anyone voicing disagreement with that criticism. Free speech and discussion doesn't work that way, Dobbo.
You do make a good point on how the closest thing to "mature" stuff Dobson is exposed to are cartoons made for children, but still have certain themes and other content to keep adults interested. I don't think Dobson has ever shown any kind of interest in purely "adult" stuff (Game of Thrones for example), and this along his obsession with the DIC cartoons really reinforces the fact that Dobson has the mindset of a child. He parrots his betters without any understanding of what they say in a futile attempt at sounding mature, and his inability to take constructive criticism gives the impression of a spoiled child that wants everything to go his way, no matter what anyone (or rather, everyone) tells him. And this guy is in his 30s.
Stuck in the "girls are groddy but boobs make my pee pee feel funny" stage for 33 years.Come to think of it, we haven't really seen any proof that Dobby-doo reads anything.
His entire reference point for art is stuff for kids.
That is some stunted-ass development

Well he actually mentioned the Lord of the Rings books and Hobbit. And of course Harry Potter.
But I think that is it. I am personally not touching this too much because I do not want to be the pot who calls the kettle black, as most of the books I read are either related to Stephen King/horror in general, a few dystopians or by Terry Pratchett.
That said, even if similiar to Dobson I enjoy immature entertainment more, I think I can point towards some better stories that he should at least in some form know about. Not because they are must reads for everyone, but because of his supposed profession. Example: V for Vendetta or Watchmen. Has he ever talked about stuff like these? I find it at least weird that someone who considers himself a professional comic artist is incapable of making a statement about them that does not sound like out of the mouth of a sjw post 2011.
He gets a hateboner over a lot of things without seeing enough to make a fair assessment. He really got a hater boner over watchmen.
Hes only seen the movie.

Like his hater boner for frank miller.
Franks non canon batman ruined the dark knight for dobbie and sin city is all about exploiting the womenz.
Franks also a terrible homophobe and racist according to dobbie because critics of 300 and Holy terror told him so.
He also seems to confuse Frank Millers work with Alan Moore.
Not just you. I could gosh for hours about the artwork, love for details and how well handled Rosa's work in general is (seriously, I consider this guy one of the greatest comic artists still alive), but that would only be off-topic. That said, I really believe Dobson would not get the general appeal of the work of someone like Rosa. He would rather want a cookie cuter Ducktales version and probably be pissed beyond believe about the fact that Flintheart is actually from Africa instead of a Scottsman.I'd agree, I loved that bio though.
now to be fair, Miller has fallen a lot as a creator over the last 15 years. That said, if he wants to complain about Batman as depicted in the comics, he should take a shit on Grant Morrison and Scott Snyder, as Miller's only work that people consider important for Batman is the Dark Knight Returns and everything else is considered a joke even by his fellow artists. After all, if someone had taken All Star Batman and Robin serious, you think DC wouldn't have tried to finish its run instead of cancelling it after ten of 12 issues had been printed?
I seriously want to force this guy to read something like Don Rosa's Scrooge McDuck biography. I can imagine he would go on a PTSD riden rant on how it was not at all in the spirit of Ducktales and how someone dared to portray Scrooge at one point in his youth as a person who ordered an entire african village to be burned down.
