There was an invitational held recently (Nov 13) for Guilty Gear Strive - "Red Bull Kumite 2021".

Let me tell you it was evident it was an invitational because the skill gap was palpable. Sonic Fox was never good at Strive so watching him get completely exposed at Kumite was extremely cathartic. He played so fucking terribly too and acted extremely cringe on stage. He's been playing Leo since the game came out and he still managed to look like he just picked up the character for the first time that day.

This pretty much summed up everything I figured from Sonicfox. If he plays either DBFZ or any NRS game because they are easy to learn and play then he becomes top 10 champs. However, if he plays games like Tekken 7 or Guilty Gear he hits a wall. He picked Leo because Leo is technically easy and a mix up character that forces you to guess however even someone like me can easily predict and react to Leo worst if its a new Leo. He can't win and he won't accept that games like Strive are actually hard despite its simple mechanics. I don't expect to see Sonicfox ever winning any nationals or world champ titles in this game.
He's out of his league and he needs to accept it.

Seeing SonicFox losing is funny and all, but pretending Strive has any of the traditional difficulty associated with Guilty Gear is just way off-base. Strive is an exceptionally simple game, especially by Guilty Gear standards. He's not losing in it because it's difficult, he's losing in it because other people are better at it than he is regardless of difficulty.
