Now it comes from immigration directly and it carries the previous meta data and your visa status and visa expiry so if you get pulled over the police know who you are and if your visa has expired without doing any calls.

One thing that does interest me is still "why THAT date?" I might upgrade the smurtness level of the plan if he intentionally picked the date he did knowing that he could probably give himself a year of plausible deniability...but his escalation with Null contradicts this. If he really wanted to make sure he had the full 12 months, he wouldn't have minded if Null talked to his lawyer as stringing the situation along would actually play in his favor if it went until July.
